All that has happened here is a few posters on here are exposing your excuses for what they are -pathetic attempts to explain why the chickens have finally come home to roost i.e. they are taking the p1ss out of you and none of your little mates are of a mind to support you



Last year an average Leeds side won an even more average competition. Now that Leeds aren't winning anymore more posters are suggesting the standards of SL are really poor - standards haven't suddenly dropped it was the same last season.

I don't brown nose anyone - I have posting on here since its inception and I have had many a run in with virtually every poster on here and that includes Jeff. My views haven't changed I have pushed against the tide on here since well before you ever started posting, fact that Jeff agrees with some of my points is nothing new - maybe I am Jeff/TVOC all wrapped into one



Extending the season for the Kiwi game should have had little impact on this season given the team that played and the fact the better players were with England anyway. The better players should have had a better start to the year as the internationals were played in this country and not abroad as was the 2014 four nations.

On the floods - they spent a week in Florida, and how the basic skills of a team the core of which has played together for years would be impacted in such a catastrophic way defies any logic. Medically I can accept things would have been disrupted but to suggest players can only do their gym work at Kirkstall is laughable. As for skills/drills there are plenty of rugby fields in the Leeds area of the appropriate quality to do that.

What has happened here is the two players that ran the team and provided the on field support are no longer there. So the other players incapable of thinking for themselves because they never had to are being exposed for what they are - a group of pretty average SL players who cannot cope. No wonder their confidence looks shot they are having to think for themselves.

at "a few posters on here have exposed your excuses".......the same usual sad acts just screeching the word "EXCUSES" and saying the same thing they've said every year "it's because we're sh*t" really isn't exposing jack all. Please explain how they've been "exposed" that goes beyond just that you disagree with them.

Everyones's a saddo except Gutenberg!! - what have you proved - nothing all that has happened is that your theories have been exposed for what they - thoughts that happen in that chasm between your ears and don't stand up to examination.

How can you prove SPOTY had and impact? how can you prove playing a reserve side against NZ had any impact? how can you prove corporate lethagy/arrogance, how can you prove a flood at Kirkstall? These are just the typical tirade of excuses you output when things aren't going well.

What you can tangibly see is the lack of leadership on the field, the inability to perform at any kind of level, the abject standard of super league, 7 losses from 9 games etc.

If you want to debate then let's go ahead - but you need to up your game.

The excuses, and I believe it is now a rather long list according to Mr Eve, will have had an effect on our prep and early season form.

However they in no way should excuse our abysmal start to the season.

That people feel the need to argue over it seems a bit daft.

FYI, saying the club spent too long patting itself on the back and celebrating what it achieved in 2015 instead of focusing on 2016 isn't an excuse...it's a criticism of the club and the players. But because you're either on auto-pilot or letting William pull your strings, or both, you've just screeched "excuses" as per usual.

Because that is what they are - your excuses - so don't trying and deflect saying this is a criticism - these are your reasons/excuses as why the team is performing so badly.

While I would agree with most of the above not being issues for the squad I think you are underselling the impact on the floods initially. That should have no or little impact now but early season it will have had an impact. They lost all outdoor pitches and facilities and it wasn't just a simple matter of picking somewhere else. I know for a fact they struggled for venues as most suitable ones were already booked out and they didn't get as much skill based work on the field as they wanted. Gyms agree weren't and issue however they did have some disruption getting gym time when the wanted and had to work around it. Medically it was a big disruption and I know they lost a lot of technical data on the players in the floods

It shouldn't have much bearing now but so close to season start it would certainly have some effect early doors.

So many threads all saying the same thing and so many OTT comments which really are as off the pace as our performances to date. It seems SS posters along with the first team also need to get a grip.

It was to be expected that those with a negative disposition, who have had to wait for so many seasons to vent their anger, should now pop up with so many critical words. So now SL is crap, the coach is crap, the team is crap, the CEO is crap, the bars are crap, the beer is crap etc etc

Yes there have been some very poor team performances, yes their have been many poor individual performances from senior players in particular, yes mistakes have undoubtably been made but also yes we have had a terrible injury list which is ongoing and yes we have lost our two most influential players. But sport comes with all these challenges and panic decisions are not the way to get back on track. So a bit of balance is required before the gallows are erected please.

It's a crisis. That first half performance is as bad as anything this year.

Yep. Losing at home to Wakefield then KR does equal crisis, I'm afraid. We look completely uncoached. Maybe we've always looked uncoached but had a couple of coaches on the field.

If this goes on much longer, I may have to revise my prediction down to Leeds finishing as low as 5th.

Makes you wonder now if the coach is losing the dressing room. our team is still littered with big names and internationals, and lets be honest it should be blowing away the likes of Wakey and Hull KR at home on individual ability alone even if we are struggling for confidence.

I have watched a few Hull KR games this year and they are not a good team at all, they try hard, and to be fair have had a run of bad luck with injuries too, but they are poor. Not interested is the only conclusion i can come to right now.
