Ryan is a great person that is very marketable, and imo would fit into the Rhino's 'way'. He was physically a late developer, knicknamed Kes as a result, and only started filling out this season. FT at Leigh will do him a power of good as his frame stands at 6' and he can hold another stone imo
Cant see him going anywhere for 2015 but could see a Clarke type deal with Wire, Salford, Saints or yourselves as a possibility should he move

Think a deal will happen. Leigh even if they don't want it to happen will only see him walk away for free in 2016.

The Leigh version sounds more logical. Either that or RB is quite upfront and direct with what he wants in life. But then he has more to lose potentially - approaching Leeds to say 'I want to join you' - Leeds could reply 'well we don't want you, bye', Leigh could say 'we won't sell you, so shout your mouth' and potentially could end up holding it against him further down the line.
Sticking your neck on the line and saying what you want having had no hint or murmur that you could get it is all well and dandy in work if it comes off, but more likely it won't.
Thus (for me) the Leigh version makes more logical sense. Maybe GH's statement is because Leigh are digging their heels in, so GH doesn't want it to look like Leeds are less powerful / in control of the situation than Leigh. |

Yep - from the outside, being cynical, looks to me like the Hetherington quote is basically saying 'we've not illegally approached a contracted player, honest guv'
Why on earth would Brierly (albeit through an agent) hand in a transfer request then contact Leeds to say 'I want to play for you' without any indication Leeds wanted him, or we're willing to pay him what he'd want... |

GH's statement is so Leeds don't get charged with tapping up a contracted player. He's already had enough run-ins with the RFL this year, he doesn't need another one. |
