Why should Bradford's on-field performance be punished for some clown behind the scenes who failed to run a business correctly?
Bradford deserved to finish inside the 8, their performances throughout the year showed this. Wakefield's didn't.

My only surprise is that Bradford haven't been awarded a probationary play-off franchise spot.

Because the clown/clowns signed an unaffordable squad of players.

Guessing sales cant be that good, a work mate of mine went to rhinos ticket office to get tickets for himself and his 2 kids and got upgraded to seats for free, now that aint the sort of thing a club does if it's selling loads of tickets!

Because wakefields on field performance was punished the year before...with a points deduction relative to debt(which bulls received) and a sale of assets (players sold to pay creditors)...RFL funded the bulls team for months and allowed them to continue to run at a further loss.

So effectively Wakefield received punishment on field but 12 months later bulls shouldnt (and haven't to the scale Wakefield did)

Talking about supporting your team, I was at Wembley sat at the Leeds end. I wonder if William Eve was one of the thousands of Leeds fans that walked out with 15 minutes of the game left!

Whatever the reasons the fact remains the Dulls had a squad they couldn't afford and even selling 1 or 2 players may have saved jobs or at least paid some serious debts but the poxy RFL wrapped them in cotton wool when other clubs with past problems have been left to fend for themselves.
If the RFL had any nadgers at all they would have made sure they couldn't finish any higher than 14th and not awarded a farcical "Probationary SL franchise" for 2013 which we all know will turn into a full franchise now remind me who owns Odslum??
Wakey are there on form and merit whether posters rate them or not and lets give them some credit from where they started the season from scratch.
The top 8 format is a different discussion and i agree should be a top 5 but as the system is laid out Wakey are 8th and deserve it.

I think the Leeds fans are right. We are in the play-offs by a financial fluke and do not deserve to be there. The Leeds players will understand that when they run out to an empty Headingley (ignoring the full West Stand). The main battle for the Leeds players will be preserving their efforts for the trip to Perpignan six days later, and so if I was them, I would chill out Saturday and not expend too much effort during Saturday. They will sweep us aside in no time, and we all know that the true champions of Super League is the team that finishes fifth two years on the trot.

This game will be just like last week, with the masses from Wakefield looking accross the ground at empty terraces, where the home fans should be.
Lets hope that we see a few more Rhinos that the pitifull numbers that supported Salford.

I agree with you by the way, true supporters turn up week in week out regardless of the opposition.

It's more to do with being bored of watching your team playing poorly against whipping boy SL rabble but just having to turn up to win. Most Leeds fans have endured this crap for 27 rounds simply because they had invested in a season ticket. Thankfully, today's game isn't covered by the season ticket so they don't feel obliged to turn up and waste their hard-earned on another meaningless fixture where the result is not in doubt.


True supporters of the game realise they are being sold short by SL and are becoming increasingly more inclined to demand value for money by being offered games against credible opposition in a meaningful game. Today's opposition does not satisfy any of that criteria in any way, shape or form. No offence intended.

I would say the average attendance more reflects your true supporters. In this respect Leeds have a damn good following averaging 15,000 despite 3 very,very, poor regular seasons. In tough financial times some fans just won't shell out for extra games after having paid for their season tickets, strange but true. This is Wakeys cup final and I'm not suprised there bringing a mob over, but week in week out Leeds have a good number of hardcore supporters that keep the club ticking over.

I disagree to a large degree as the economic climate has dictated that some sections of the public simply dont have the £££ to turn up week in week out.

Also the SL product is certainly not worth the £££ these days.

Not certainly, I think £20 is reasonable for 2 hours of live sport, definitely better value and more entertainment than when I pay £34 to watch LUFC.

I think you (as many Leeds fans are) are just frustrated Bramley and Hunslet fans who jumped ship, but really have a romantic yearning to return.
