| Glad to see Bailey being preferred to Leuluai as the starting option. On the evidence of this season (limited in Leuluai's case from the bench) it's appeared the right approach for both players.
It will be interesting to see if Coach McDermott sees it that way.

Delaney, the centre who was signed as a centre who can't play as a centre or doesn't want to play as a centre, who's strengths lie in the second row more effectively?
Stick him at centre. Await the glory.

I'm unconvinced - tactical arguments aside - that Jones-Bishop has the physicality to deal with Manu or Yeaman either, certainly not for the full 80. There's a big difference between playing wing or full-back and needing to make 6-8 tackles a game and defending two in from the wing in terms of workrate.'"
He could be perfectly capable, but I agree that a cup quater final, away from home is not the place to find out. I'm sure he won't play there.

| As our 19 man squad hasn't been released yet
I can't imagine that we would make too many changes to last weeks side TBH if all are fit for selection, I would definitely keep both Delaney and Ablett in the centre's for this week rather than throw Watkins in at the deep end, surely we can't move too many players about and into different positions can we for this game?
IMO this is our most realistic chance of silverware this season, so If everyone's fit then i think we will go with:
FB: Webb <if not then BJB>
W: BJB <if Webb out, then Hardaker>
C: Delaney
C: Ablett
W: Hall
SO: Sinfield
SH: McGuire
P: Bailey
H: Buderus
P: Peacock
SR: Buchanan
SR: Hauraki
LF: Clarkson
R: Burrow
R: Lauitiiti
R: Kirke
R: Leuluai

I can't understand why anyone would want to leave Webb out when he has arguably been our most creative player this year. According to the Opta stats he has 5 tries and 15 assists this year from 18 games. This compares to Sinfield (1 try and 17 assists from 22 games), Burrow (6 tries and 3 assists from 21 games), McGuire (4 tries and 3 assists from 9 games).
For me:
Webb
BJB, Delaney, Ablett, Hall
Sinfield, Burrow
Bailey, Buderus, Peacock
JJB, Clarkson,
Ablett
Leuleuai, Lauititi, Kirke, McGuire - although I wouldn't be too disapponinted to see Pitts for Kirke

I've just watched the highlights [url=http://www.therhinos.co.uk/news/17022.phphere[/url and BJB is just so dependable. Webb might be creative but his commitment and awareness in defence or for the kick after the 4th/5th is just not there anymore. His gob is too predictable too!
Lauititi shouldn't even get a free ride on the bus let alone get to keep one of the benches in the dug out warm! This season so far he has been anonymous. Kirke or Pitts would get a shout over him for me.
Would agree about perhaps starting McGuire on the bench.

Sorry, going to have to disagree with you on this one. If you watch Webb when the opposition make a break you will notice how aware he is. Not only is he lining up his man but he directs the cover defence as to which support runners to take.
I would take Lauititi over Kirke / Pitts any day of the week. You can criticise him for being injury prone, however IMO you can't fault his commitment when he does get on the pitch. Some things may not come off for him but I'd rather have him offering the potential of something rather than Kirke offering very little. Ali has played half the game Kirke has and has made more tackle busts, more offloads and scored more tries than Kirke has. I would also guess that despite his declien over recent years, opposition teams are still more fearful of Ali than they ever have been of Kirke which helps create space for others.

| If Webb's fit he plays then it's a toss up between Hardaker and Bjb with the latter shading it on the experience front and the fact it's a CC quarter final.
delaney will do a job on Yeaman on our right edge and with Ali coming on as a prop imo Hauraki could add the extra threat and tbf he did well imo last week although i would'nt mind Mcshane taking the bench spot.
CC QF no time for experiments kylie walks back in because we know he can help smash the Hull pack which he and Bailey have done well over the last 3 yrs or so.
it's a straight forward selection and maybe harsh on Hardaker and tbf i would'nt be gitted to see Zak selected ahead of Bjb but like i said i went for the one with more SL games.

Since when has greater experience being a better guarantee of success ? Senior ? Hauraki has far greater experience than Hardaker for example, but I know who I would have greater confidence in.
Composure and confidence are better attributes over experience. I would suggest Hardaker has oodles ... And does not deserve to be dropped.

WTF have Senior and Hauraki got to do with Bjb and Hardaker?
Bjb has the edge over Hardaker and is just as if not more versatile aswell like i said i wouldn't be gutted to see Hardaker selected but this time Bjb shades it.

WTF WTF ! Your argument for dropping Hardaker is his lack of experience.... my argument is that this is no reason to do so. Experience is what the likes of Senior had, but he was error prone esp in defence.... ditto Hauraki.
Hardaker has pure ABILITY ...surely much more important . There is room for both BJB and Hardaker in the threequarters IMO...especially when the only other alternative that appears to be considered is a couple of capable-but-an-embarrasing-option-in-the-threequarters-forwards

| The experience i refer to is direct comparison between Bjb and Hardaker and when comparing the 2 Bjb shades it both in Experience in a number of positions at SL level and CC.
Putting either Bjb OR Hardaker in the RC would get levelled by Yeaman ,Manu and Briscoe whereas has already been proved Delaney can handle them.
There's no second chance here and to start F#*king about with either Bjb or Hardaker in the centre when NEITHER has played there this year or even for Leeds would be a ridiculous risk not worth taking when we have a more than capable defensive Centre who's got umpteen games there and proved he can handle the opposition.
I'm with you on more youngsters getting a chance in SL but this game is not the time for that gamble we lose it's season over and it more than likely will be after the Semi but we need to select the best 17 available in the right positions for this game and that means a straight choice for the RW spot between Hardaker and Bjb and for me Bish edges it.
