| Penalty count went 9-5 in Wigan's favour overall.
4-1 in the second-half was clearly not enough of a leg up to the League Leaders playing at home.

they really are taking it bad'"
Wigan proved last night exactly why people do not want them winning this year. They are a disgraceful cheating side, and have been all year.
Yes I accept what McGuire did right at the end was also cheating, but it wasn't done all throughout 80 minutes like that Wigan side. They are an absolute disgrace.

| Got to love the pies, they are all gloating about McGuire's injury and one even said they wished it was career ending.
Imagine if one of our players kicked one of the mighty wiganers whilst on his knees.

| The nastiness and vitriol of the Wigan posters adds an extra dimension of enjoyment to an already thoroughly enjoyable nights work from the lads.
This is such a good start to the week..
Think I was the only one in the prediction comp that thought we might just do it. (OK forget my Hull and Warrington predictions!!)

I know shameful.
I never backed against Leeds all season and I never will, possibly explains why I didn't make the play-offs mind.

If Maurice was alive and Well at the pie dome he'd have the play offs scrapped and the superleague trophy would be in their Cabinet right now....
its funny how according to Wigan fans the challenge cup is a competition that you only have to win five games to win it, and you can win the superleague from 8th position in the league.....(Technically I suppose they are right for once but...)
you'd think Gods own team would have been filling its boots if its so easy to win things.....
apparantly though That floodlit 9's is the dogs bollox and a real tasty competition like state of Origin only with 9 a side...!!!!'"
My personal favourite last night was "The DW Stadium - the Mecca of Rugby League" (except with a two-bob football team is at home the following day of course).

| Won't find any complaints from me, a great game played at a fantastic pace by both teams. It didn't seem to stop at all! Obviously I'm gutted that we lost after having a good early lead, but I must of been one of the only few Wigan fans who didn't fancy us before the game last night. I do still think we will win on Friday though and will probably come and play you again at your place the week after. Couple of things, I thought the Deacon incident didn't help us much as that meant we was down to a bench player and rotating which would have unsettled any team but that's the game of RL. Joel Tomkins IMO should get a match ban for his stupidity, great player that I think he is this sort of thing he needs to cut out, he'd already been done for a late tackle early on before your first try. Another thing with the Sam Tomkins incident of the ball getting trapped, you clearly have forgotten the challenge cup at your place when defending players on both teams where getting the ball trapped, then all of a sudden the ball comes free and it's given a penalty. Now I didn't see any of you complaining when you guys got a penalty from those incidents, just a thought. What is he meant to do exctly? If he lets go of the ball he'll only get a penalty anyway.
If we do meet again I hope McGuire will be playing, it's going to be an interesting couple of weeks and I still think there's a few twists and turns to come.

| There were some wigan fans around the club coach at the end. I didn't stop to see the players board the coach, however as usual, like every game, had a natter to about the game afterwards. I assumed they were all one big family, and what looked lkike the grandad was fine. I had said how for a neutral it would have been a fantastic game to watch. The other members of the family were just complaining and complaining about how Leeds were scum, Ref was against Wigan all night etc etc
I said "cya at Grand final then maybe" to which the reply from what I presumed was Mother and Daughter "yer feck off and hope you have a nasty little accident on the way back".
I cannot believe how much the defeat has hurt there fans.
Hope Hull KR can win next week, now that would be FUNNNNNNY.
On the plus side, the Wigan steward after the game had let me back in the stadium to check my jacket (because I got caught up in celebrating the win, and forgot I had left on the chair) however it had already been handed in at recpetion by a steward apparantly. I had forgot I left around 50quid in that jacket, and it was all there when I collected it. Also, saw a certain Leeds player in the recpetion area, does the guy ever stop smiling?
Thankyou Mr steward.
