Judging by the stats Sam Moa was close to being Hull's best prop on the day. Good metres, no missed tackles, errors or penalties. It's a shame that game minutes are not reported.

But while he was on he was effective which is what I said elsewhere only to be poo poohed.

No, but however good he is with ball in hand if he can't defend he can't play.

That said, I was unduly harsh on him as I have reflected elsewhere.

I still think he will see an awful lot of traffic this season based upon his misses in the previous two games and the way our whole right edge played Sunday so he'll get plenty of practice.

I thought all the props as a whole just squeezed them out of the game.

They fronted up early doors and kept them in check.

I joked to the guys who I watched the game with that the 'stats' won't shower the forwards in glory but watching the game in context they more than did enough.

Least we watch the game the right way round. Going to the games helps as well!
