| Quote ="Bonzo"Have you considered sticking to our board, rather than irritating the hell out of the nice people here? Your behaviour does nothing but tarnish the reputation of other Cas fans using RLFANS.
To keep on topic I agree with KWLB - Ian Kirke has impressed from what I've seen of him in TV games this season. Another good 'un there for you guys.'"
Very well put sir. Oh, and I agree with you with your selection of Kirke as well.
The only thing with Kirke, and this isn't a criticism, is why has it taken until he's this old for him to show what he can do? He was knocking around in the lower leagues for a number of years before we picked him up; was it his attitude, did others look but not rate him? Also, how many others are there like him lurking in the lower reaches of the league?

| I would say Carl Ablett, because I think he is have a good season. But there is still the less educated who dont rate Lee Smith who looks super for us.
However, allthough in a way it pains me to say it, I think Senior could be the most under rated. How good he has made Scott Donald look for the last two years, and now Donald is without him he has gone so far backwards its frightening. At the same time, Hall has gone from looking like a player simply not cut out for Super League to a really promising player.
Only coincidence for me is Senior, and a lot on here, me included, thought he was finished.

I just think some players mature at different times. We've had the same thing with Craig Huby over the last few years. He's the longest serving player at the club and has always been a good squad player but never a real stand out. So far this season he's proving a point and has been one of the driving forces in our pack.

Fleary and Farrell could fit that bill as well. Not unheard of, especially for forwards.

I agree.
If I were to pick another unsung hero at Leeds it would be Danny McGuire. Without him Leeds would be even more one dimensional.
Now that his pace has diminished he'll never be world class but (like Sinfield) he is invaluable to Leeds.

i think Ian's game improved massively when he graduated from University. He got his head down that summer at York and ended up finishing the season at Quins IIRC. Next year he ends up with you. Big step up from lower leagues. I think I watched his professional debut for Hull KR, I'm pretty sure he was on the wing!

| McGuire for me. Has developed into a real ball playing 6. His defence and workrate in that department is excellent and has a great all round game. He's always been natural finisher (and in October he showed how good he still is).

Its a good point but there is a 6 year age gap between these two.

I'd go with that, i also think he has the most dangerous kicking game near the opponents line, there is nobody better in the Leeds side at forcing repeat sets caused by one of his intelligent grubbers or setting up trys with chips to the corner or grubbers. His long kicking game.... well that still needs plenty of work.

McGuire is much, much more than being 'just a support player' now, and he's probably had to add more to his game after his injuries slowed him up a little.

| I think Kirk flies under the radar a lot of the time and probably does more does work than he gets credit for but from me it’d have to be JJB – gives 100% effort 100% of the time.
