What I find PATHETIC about the Wigan Board is if you comment with something the Admin doesn't like, you are Blocked.

They are now trying to use the James Child Thread to justify their embarrassing Thread about Thaler.

I think they'll find everyone was in agreement, Child is a terrible ref for everyone in Rugby League, not just Leeds.

You can find a speech by Kev Sinfield on youtube to leeds university - carnegie conversations. Real interesting stuff. He touches upon ref's in that.

He says that a grand final winning team actually get's reffed harder the following season compared to others, but this becomes a massive benefit when it comes to playoff time because the team has been spending all season being drilled harder they are better prepared. He says when it get's to playoffs and grand final all games are reffed the same because they know what's at stake.

Something I've always noticed when you get to the grand final only stonewallers are given and the game flows well. Why they don't ref like that week in week out i'll never know.

Actually this time around I think the Wigan forum hasn't been too bad .I think about the time when Maguire became coach and Wigan started to get results Quite a few new posters joined and started coming over on here and predicting Leeds demise and one or two of us rose to the bait particularly after 2010 .well we didn't sink and Wigan didn't dominate and most Wiganers have a grudging respect for this Leeds era since 2004

Well I just got back in the country today and spent this evening reading the RL papers and just read a letter from a Mr Ron Mason entitled Lucky Leeds ,no doubt you will all have read it .Now that was typical of what this thread is about.Mr Mason comes from Wigan. I keep rereading it

Re the McGuire no knock-on in the build up to the Moon score - at the time I thought the pass went backwards but the Wigan tackle was pushing McGuire towards his own tryline which gave the impression (from certain angles) that the ball may have come out forwards. Tight but correct call but also not a call I'd want to be on the opposite end of. The best bit was McDermott's celebration and no doubt sarcastically claiming it to be a training ground move.
