If you're looking for a new halfback you can do a lot worse than Jon Ford the Toulouse half.
Keep an eye out for him this weekend, pretty much any decent attacking play Toulouse put on will be a result of his involvement, he's a very classy player who could easily make the step up to SL imo.

And Handley/Sutcliffe(?) 'Attempt' to stop BMM was under 8s standard. Then kevin brown stepping over with 3 around him on the line. There were a couple of other examples that led to scores or breaks. These are not down to ability but more desire and application.

Defence is 10% application, 90% perspiration... Ours is currently lacking in both areas.

I think you could visibly tell that Peacock was utterly unimpressed/annoyed by Leeds lack of effort and desire yesterday, for a player who gave every last bit of himself for us it must be disappointing to see how were going about our business lately.

Same levels of application and desire in the middle eights will see us in deep doodoo

You cannot say the the top championship teams are worse than Widnes. Torronto Toulouse London Fax are likely to compete well and surprise most teams this year in the 8s. The championship was like like 2 divisions this year the top 6 were class above the rest. Hope your team have this attitude Saturday as they will be tought a lesson not to underestimate the Championship. I for one think your in trouble after watching the game at the weekend

Without being disrespectful to any club involved in the Middle 8's IMO our set of fixtures couldn't have worked out any better

My concerns are more to do with how players that will not or may not be with us next season will treat these games.
If any player is not 100% committed to the club irrespective of their circumstances for 2019 and beyond then they should not be picked as we certainly cannot afford the luxury of carrying any players with their flip flops already on!

Agreed. If Moon (or anyone else) won't tackle or contribute anything meaningful because they're going through the motions, they should be dropped. Far better a willing tyro than someone who couldn't care less. I honestly don't know how some of our players can pick up their wages with a straight face given some of the defensive efforts.

What I don't understand since the appointment of Sinfield/Lowes is why the defence hasn't got better. Ex players always state good defence is mostly down to attitude. Even though we're not particularly fluent in attack (and I don't think we have the players to be), we ought to be able to defend aggressively and make that our strength. You don't need to be 'confident' to defend well - just determined as a team.

I think all Jeff's saying is that poor quality refs add to the lower standard in the Championship. He's not blaming refs on the day for losing games.

YEP confirms Walker, Handley and Parcell will miss Toulouse game. With that Garbutt, Delaney, Watkins, A Sutcliffe missing through injury, Thompson banned, Lilley & Ormondroyd out on loan deals. Ward & Mullally may return from concussion.
