It doesn't mean much in terms of Golding. The position's the same, its up to him to earn a spot. If Walker ousts him at fullback then he needs to get another spot. He will if he's good enough.

Yes good news this. Hopefully put that nonsense behind and let him earn the full back shirt off golding, which over three years is more than achievable.
I too think Golding could make a good winger (if he put some size on) as his defence is good and he's good under the high ball. Just needs to work on his attack and returning the ball.
Between them they could cover full back and wing one day.

Would Golding be open to a place elsewhere in the team? Would Jack now he's signed?

Might be a case of them both fighting it out for the FB spot.

If they're good enough I'd imagine longer term one of them would end up as a 6 or 7.

I really do think JW in particular has the potential to be a top class player.

Absolutely not - his agent forced GH to come back with an improved contract so I would say his agent has done the right thing by his player.

I believe he has a year in his favour also so technically a four year deal.

Brilliant news,im guessing by signing jacks accepted that he wont only be considerd for fullback and if so i thknk it could be the best signing the club have/will make for a long time....He's got everyting a modern fullback needs. Funny thing is i think the way the squds looking he's nailed on for fullback anyways,myler and moon will be the halfs nxt year imo so he wont be used there and right wing is the glaring weakness...Golding should move to wing leaving fullback for walker

Also good news on sutcliffe,with these two,oledzki,whiteley and smith we could end up with 5 good players from this year group

And he got what he asked for three weeks back, after the club asked for the proposal last week. If GH intended to give him what he wanted all along, then yes indeed another win for GH. But in reality, it was negotiation to it's point.
