Im not down on that performance, i think we did ok. We panicked a little early and could have been a little more composed but i though Wire played really well, got the rub of the green and refs decisions and still only beat us by 11.

I think if Wire play like that for the rest of the year they will comfortably be in the 8, i think if we play like that for the rest of the year we will make the 4.

Fact is most games we arent going to see the lopsided penalty count we saw in the first half, we arent going to see a phantom try, we arent going to face kickers as good as Patton

However against that pack playing 3 props got found out as did not starting Parcell & finally leaving Golding on with only 1 shoulder was disgraceful from the Coach & Medical team.

Why do people always think that ine player cost us the game? I see Walters is this weeks scapegoat. Im not too disheartened with that game, last year we would have lost that game by a big margin, Warrington are a desperate side at the moment and had most of the possession (especially in the first half) I thought we did well to keep the game as close as it was and actually enjoyed some of our off the cuff play to try and get back in the game.

People blaming the halves are being harsh, they had no platform for the majority of the game and I thought McGuire did pretty well given the circumstances, some chip kicks that would be world class plays had Wire not read them

Ateotd Child was woeful but at the same time better composure with & without the ball we could have won that.
Some of the stupid offloads cheap penalties & poor kicking cost us as much as anything Child did.
It wasn't Walters fault & tbf i thought Delaney had his best game in 16mths but against that big pack 4 props should have been a must.
We still have issues at HB & once again the selections process is questionable.

Dont think Williams is as good a kicker, even if he offers more elsewhere. Brough is done.

We played with no platform for most of the game and we did create 3 tries with very little good ball, cant blame the halves every time we loose (I actually agree that Moon isnt the right option at 7, but dont think this game proves that)

Not been mentioned yet but our centres (and Briscoe) were pretty awful tonight, we often say they dont get enough ball but they got some good ball tonight and butchered it

They still need to be rotated more than any other forward.
To get the best out of Cuthbertson he needs more help with the grunt work & i dont mean by spelling an alreasy tired Jjb there after 25minutes.

For me the biggest issue, as is most games is that the ruck is reffed differently depending who is the home team. We really need to sort out the incompetence/bias of the referees.

Did Keinhorst get an attacking pass all night? Agree to a certain extent re-HB's but saying that it helps if yer 6 or 7 can get you out of your own half effectively when struggling with a good long kicking game we did that at best 3 times tonight.

Saying that though we have to be smarter we know what to expect from Child its not abnormal anymore & we have enough experience to be much better than we showed.
A better long kicking game/kicking early etc would have imo helped us.

It really wouldn't imo. It was like touching a hot potato tonight touching a Wire player tonight. You had to jump off as soon as possible otherwise a penalty, on the other side take as long as you want. Reason why he keeps get this fixture and why we always get hammered.

True but Walters has probably played his last game for Leeds.
At the end some of our forwards were blowing out of their arris which considering the bench and losing Sutcliffe wasn't a shock.
How many games will Westwood get?

I think last season we'd have lost that game by 40. We did well to get as close as we did given how quick Warrington were playing the ball, and how much possession they had. We lost by 4 trys to 3, one of which shouldn't have counted. So, it's not the end of the world.
You can complain about the halves, but most halves struggle when having to play most of the game in their own half.
The decision to start Burrow, and only have 1 prop on the bench backfired, but Warrington's tactic of hitting the floor as quick as possible is very tough to combat.

Child was his usual terrible self. No more needs to be said about him.
