North Stand - shared with YCCC who aren't prepared to stump up their share of the redevelopment costs
Western Terrace - unable to redevelop due to planning issues from the adjacent housing
Southstand - redevelopment plans were signed off and the work due to commence then Leeds City Council pulled the financial plug on their contribution

Option 2 for me.'"
Thats what I said, three quarters of a stand in what is it 70 odd years?
So you bag us for having a council run ( not paid for, all grant funded ) stadium, then use the excuse your council wont build anything for you

I don't think that's what I said - you seem to be having a difficulty interpreting my post. When I said "... Leeds City Council pulled the financial plug on their contribution", what I meant was the financial contribution that Leeds City Council where to give was pulled. I hope that's clear for you now.
What I didn't say was that the "council wont build anything for us". When an investor pulls out at the last minute it's difficult to instantly get another investor to fill their boots. This is the way when you own and maintain your own stadium, something you don't have to worry about when you're simply tenants, renting your facility.
Anyway paint it whatever colour you want - I know which stadium I'd rather be stood in come game nights.

| Im intrigued at which quarter of the Carnegie Stand doesn’t exist? Is it the bottom quarter? because that seems dangerous
West stand isn’t ever going to be massively renovated, there is no point and no reason it would ever be cost-effective. The North Stand needs to be done with YCC so that’s a fairly complicated job. The Southstand will be done soon, when the club can get the Southstand they want not the one they were allowed to build at that time.
That’s the difference between Leeds and some of the less well run clubs, they don’t have to make short-term fire fighting decisions, then can take the time they need to secure the right long term ones.

They do, although I anticipate a rise of a few percent with Wimbledon just around the corner and YCC's season in full swing.

I remember that, we gave him some stick too !! Mike Ford Coach ?
Anyway, back to topic. Headingley one of my favourite grounds and even though we lost, Leigh did not do too bad last time we played there I think.
Was it a 42-24 defeat in 2005 ? It was 24-24 for a good while.
Time before that was 1993 I think. We lost in the last 5 mins (think it snowed !)
If Leigh keep them below 50, they would have done really well. Would be nice to see us score a few points too.

It was 42-24 in 2005. Leeds decided they only had to turn up to chalk up another 50+ margin victory but it didn't turn out that way. I recall one of your Kolpak Stiffs back then (Leafa?) jinking past Mathers with ease to score under the sticks.
Mathers would develop that turnstile routine of his into sheer perfection a couple of months later in the CC Semi against Toulouse when Sebastian Raguin breezed past him without offering to pay the admission.
2005 was another season where Leeds received no luck whatsoever in any of the CC draws. They were presented with the tough assignment of Warrington, Pia and London all at home followed by Toulouse in the Semi at Huddersfield. Basically, a free pass all the way to the CC Final itself. Unfortunately, they had to face whipping boy SL rabble at Cardiff which was a step too far.

aye Snowy, if you think back 2 years, we lost 60-12 at LSV, we have a better side now, dunno about Leeds, doubt it matters that much, but right now they are red hot. Sod this 'ground' banter always enjoyed going to Headingley, always BIG crowd/good atmosphere. Can't wait !!!! (am i mad)

Was a funny night at Headingley, Leeds built up a 3 score lead then Ashley Klien ' pinged ' them for forward passes in 3 consequtive sets ,all of a sudden their game fell apart, Sinfield was throwing the passes that deep they were going in touch
We pulled three score back and were pressing to take the lead when McGuire pulled of an interception to get them back on track, that settled them enough to be comfortable for the last 20 minutes
