There was a pretty big clue in what Agar said yesterday. Something like, I don’t mind if we sign a couple more 30yo’s. Basically saying we need experienced leaders to bring the kids through with the right habits and attitudes.

That's the age we should be looking at and not project players.An experience nine and prop could do wonders for this team.

I thought Agar spoke really well at the presser yesterday, open and honest. I agree with maybe signing a couple more experienced players, if it means the promising young lads we have, get the guidance and experience they need.

Agar did present it well .Is KS on Holiday or is he leaving this side of things to Agar ?

Myler probably played only a handful of decent games since he has been with us.
Funny how Lolohea who was made a scapegoat when he played alongside Myler is now looking like a decent player with his short kicking game and passing.
Who was Myler`s half back partner when he played for Catalan btw?

Think his partner was Luke Walsh in Mylers last season at Catalans.

I think he does have to leave now - for his career and for Leeds' salary cap.

As someone posted earlier, can see him going to promoted Toronto actually (if they're allowed in).

Lolohea is a good player in parts going forward, it's his D which was horrendous at times for us, and his conditioning/pace isn't where is should be.

Mark you are probably right but he does seem to have improved his defence since he moved to Salford.

Hastings would make most partners look better. Myler would probably go very well in the same team.

For quite a chunky lad he showed a real lack of bottle at times, and he tends to flap his arms around people's shoulders. Right decision to let him go, although of course he'll take out the SL title with Salford now to prove us wrong!

It's a bit harsh on Myler and Lolohea because the rest of the side were making errors etc. and putting pressure on them, but ultimately the pack established more go=forward than I thought they would pre=season, and the halves just failed to nail last plays and apply pressure. Both have paid the price.

It's looking likely that McLelland will get some 1st team action next year. I reckon if one or two players leave without a struggle, and we can sort out another couple of positions, we could look pretty decent next year after all.

I agree I cant see him staying.It will be a lot easier for him to get a gig next year than if was to wait for 12 months after maybe mainly playing in the reserves.

I hope McLelland does get some games,Lui I feel could do a job at loose.

I'd rather we just played people in their proper position and if we can't do that then we should seriously consider if they have a future at the club.

We'd probably have to pay a chunk of his wage next year if he moves. He may not have worked out but he was a big signing in 2018.

Don’t know if Tony Smith rates Myler - he’s very shrewd. Would expect KR to look for a more progressive HB, and I doubt Myler is a cheap option either.

Maybe he will stay and compete for a place.

I'm not sure he'd even get a gig in SL after last year, unless who ever comes up needs a half.

Interesting to see Tony Smith almost resigned to getting "15-20 games out of Garbutt" next year.

Didnt realised he'd missed so much rugby at the back end of last year for them as well. Looking more and more like a reasonable call from KS. Isnt hindsight a wonderful thing...

Myler may have to drop his salary to gain a longer term deal with another SL club.
