Northampton RL is more important to me, hence the sig. So with that and a 260 mile round trip, I don't get to many live games. But via a combination of the trips I can make and TV reckon I see 30-40% of Rhinos games, whilst seeing of course two TV games and one or two grass roots games a week. All irrelevant really though.

I could pull apart your post. Compare SL to the NRL and other sports. But what's the point? You are absolutely determined to be miserable. I can't change your outlook through a forum post that you will skim read.

Predicted the demise if certain players were not replaced. I don't know if you have noticed but there is a lot of changes to the side that won in 2004 and the side that won in 2011.

Also predicted we would have a shortage in the academy if changes were not made when Poching was academy coach. We had a shortage. We changed it and the numbers pushing have grown over last couple of years.

I have been predicting a drop in quality - this has happened - but don't let that get in the way of your argument as Gotcha has said there are those who think they know and those who do.

I am not constantly negative if I see good stuff I will say so - I think my match reports are well balanced and a fair reflection of what I have seen. There are several posters on here - Tad, Sherbet are two who have stopped attending games because the quality on offer no longer represents value for money. The fact you cannot accept that standards have dropped - not just at Leeds but across the league as a whole - suggests you don't understand the game?

Which point? Attendance? Hence covered by my description of the club I founded. Quality of games? Too subjective and you won't change your views - we could win three titles in a row and you'd still be negative.

People start and stop attending for all sorts of reasons, and the reasons given might not always be those they feel. Perhaps some are literally bored of success. The crowds seemed more intense when we just couldn't beat Bradford.

The fact that you want to believe the standards of the league have dropped is another indicator of your negativity. It's not a unique mindset. We often hear sports fans say how things were better in past days, in many sports. The interesting thing is, this tends to only happen when it's a subjective measure. In sports where we can measure objectively, it's almost always the case that clear improvements can be seen through the years.

I still enjoy watching SL, but undoubtedly standards HAVE dropped and continue to drop. The best UK forwards are all in the NRL and in short supply here exemplified by the likes of granddad forwards still getting a gig at the "top" clubs.

The standard in SL has dropped I defy you to find any expert who would suggest standards in SL are on the up - the lack of quality overseas players and the exodus of our better players to the NRL have weakened the quality - even Stevie Wonder can see that.

I am objective - not allow success to blind me to the obvious failing in certain areas. This has been a golden era for the club but it doesn't mask the point that the quality is not what it was in say 2004.

How are you defining "quality" David? It's a subjective phrase, not an objective one.

Gotcha often doesn't know who is is talking to so that is hardly any recommendation.

As for quality, I think yuo're wrong. Are Leeds the same quality as they were in 2004 and 2009 right now? No. They're better than they were in 2006 though. Wigan are better than they were for many of the Super league years, as are Warrington.

Some teams are better now than they were, others aren't. Guess what, that is sport.
