I wonder if William realises the concept of the RL Challenge Cup in that it is an "open" competition and therefore available to all levels of the game. ???

What a load of pants! I specifically asked on this board on Tuesday for this game NOT to be on Fri 6th as i can't make it. I am disappointed that the RFL, Sky and the BBC did not take this into account in the end.

Oh well. My first chance to see us play a competitive team from a lower league. Being a Rhinos fan, god knows when that chance will come around again, huh..?!

I'm amused you dragged my quote up at the bottom. I made no comment on leeds relative luck or lack there of in the draw. I simply commented on wigans draw. Would you care to remind yourself on their run to winning the CC last season and the quality of the teams faced?

I don't think i've seen many easier runs in terms of teams relative quality and positions in the table.

) in 2005, I think the hardest teams they faced were warrington and hull, both of which were 5/6th placed type teams at the time. Even facing a part time french team in the semi in which prop forward sebastian reganne (sp?) produced a world class step to round turnstile fullback richie mathers, you may recall



But, even then leeds still managed to find a way not to win the CC, such is life and leeds recent record in the competition.

I'm not a statistician but I think a cell size of around 50 is the minimum required to be able to undertake statistical analysis where the standard errors at 95% confidence don't make the data utterly meaningless.

You are happy to contribute on the Leythers board it would seem and WYSIWYG does have a point three quarters of a new stand in decades isnt much for a club the size of Leeds

Come on guys give us a break it isn't often we get chance to play one of the best clubs in the world and it's all meant as banter nothing else, remember when we played you a couple of years ago at Leigh and all the Leeds fans after the game said how welcoming our fans where. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season, i think you will win the grand final by the way.

It's hard to redevelop headingley due to it's location and it being used almost year round

East Terrace - fully redeveloped, now the Carnegie stand
North Stand - shared with YCCC who aren't prepared to stump up their share of the redevelopment costs
Western Terrace - unable to redevelop due to planning issues from the adjacent housing
Southstand - redevelopment plans were signed off and the work due to commence then Leeds City Council pulled the financial plug on their contribution

So we could do what you guys have done and sell our ground to some corporate developer and rent some council owned, sole-less, shared sporting facility (then gloat about it) or sit tight where we are for the time being and put up with what we have.

Option 2 for me.

Not to mention the significant investment in other areas such as the Lodge, the club shop, Kirkstall etc that has helped improved Leeds' finances along with top training facilities.

Plus the history of the place. Oozes from evey pore. Some say you can't polish a turd but you can certainly roll it in glitter.
