Not this time, no. Lenegan will have noted Whelan's comments when Noble arrived, if they hadn't won anything by the end of 2009 he wont have been doing his job properly. Only a Cup win, which I suppose they're capable of, could save him; I can't see them being consistent enough in the play-offs to win the GF.

That's actually correct - and is and something the current administration has been working hard to rectify. But it takes several years for the fruits of investing (again) in the youth development system to become manifest - same as it did with you lot after Hetherington appeared on the scene, and same as it did at Stains after Millwart identified and took steps to rectify similar problems.

Watch this space in a couple of years - I very much doubt people will be sneering at Bradford's youth development then.

And yes, you only have to look at Wigan to see the Noble effect I think.

Rumours from work collagues who follow Northern is that yes they will be a fire sale this closed season as Northern are in deep financeal problems. Burgess could be bought, one of the reasons he signed a new contract was if i am correct both Northern and him will get a transfer fee.
