We certainly missed Parcell Fri but suspect he's carrying a knock. Brad Dwyer is a long way of Leeds standard I'm afraid.[/
I completely disagree. I think Dwyer’s a great interchange hooker.

Sure he will make occasion dart that's good but you can't have a hooker with no rugby brain. Twice this season he's run on last tackle in his own half and on Fri on 1 last tackle he passed to JJB when Myler was in position to kick.
The lad is enthusiastic and energetic but nobody has a clue what he's going to do. You can't have that in hooking role.
I notice he's not in squad tomorrow.

I get that, he’s certainly not as bad as Burrow for that. He’s still relatively new to the side. He’s still young and will improve.
I like what he adds overall and he injects a greater intensity.

But in the last two games Golding has been our best interchange hooker and out performed the starting hooker both times. Against Huddersfield he was the top tackler on the field with 37 despite being on the field for only half the game.

I would rest both Ablett and Delaney along with JJB for this one. All three have put in tremendous effort over the last weeks covering for missing front and back rowers and need a rest. So we should play Ward, Keinhorst and Sutcliffe as fowards assuming all backs are fit.
Golding has made 63 tackles in the middle of the defence in the last two games as a replacement hooker off the bench which is some achievement for a young fullback unused to so much contact with big forwards. So he will be due a rest but I guess will be bench cover for Parcell unless Walker is unfit.

I think Golding is to good to be left out. We’re going to have a problem keeping him happy eventually

| I agree I'm a big fan of Golding as many of my previous posts say.
But whilst it's good him getting game time I'm slightly concerned he is playing in a position that if he plays on a regular basis will knacker him out before too long.
Funny when i suggested Kienhorst instead of Burrow for the hooking spot i was told you needed to have played that position before or played half back to be able to pass from dummy half.
Golding isn't doing too bad and maybe we have found our future SO if and when Moon leaves.

I also felt that Keinhorst could fill in at 9 before Parcell came in and I think that Golding should rotate at full back with Walker as he is a fine player with a very good attitude. I still think Walker could make a great SO but both players have the basic skill sets to play in different positions in the first team.

| I hoped Walker might make a 6 but the more I see of him, the more I see him playing that role as Joel Moon does, i.e. a make-do who'd perform better at centre or FB.

I agree he could make a good centre too but I still think he will end up at 6 as he develops his game and he comes to realise his best position. Not seen if he has a good enough kicking game yet though.

Im not sure they can afford to rest those 3 with the front row further decimated and the 3 coming in returning after a pretty long absence, puts too much pressure on.

| I would go with this:
Golding
Briscoe Watkins Handley Hall
Moon Myler
Ferres Parcell Singleton
Sutcliffe Ward
Delaney
Subs
Keinhorst JJB Ablett Oledzski/Smith
When Parcell goes off for 20 minutes Golding to hooker Handley to FB and Keinhorst to centre.
Failing that if Walker is fit swap with Keinhorst on the bench. Sorted!

It's a very difficult team to pick. Ferres has come back after a long lay off, he plays Friday and now probably has to go again. As Juan and Seth say - not great playing Ablett and Delaney but at least one or both will play. I'd start oledZki at prop and reckon Walters will start in second row with ward and Delaney in back row. Assuming no walker, play Ferres, Sutcliffe, Jimmy k and smith/ablett on bench. JJB is not in the 19. Almost any combination of forwards is possible today.

I wouldn't want to be in McDermott's shoes if we lose this. Season over in April - must mean he'll be out the door

| Not the greatest of games but given the conditions & circumstances a well earned win.
Positives other than the win were Myler Walters & Cam Smith imo.

Walters was a joke. But then again the game was terrible. Delaney poor also, along with Moon.
But Myler really is one quality signing. Manages the game so well, and keeps busy.
