Just got back from the game as I'm staying with my inlaws in Sunderland. I know people are very down on the sport nowadays, but took some of the locals with me and they were just blown away with the last two matches. As somebody has just remarked this thread is comedy gold at times. More flying dummies than a nursery would tolerate when we are losing. No right to win tonight especially after Lui went off after 15 mins, but yet somehow they did. This type of experience will really stand them in good stead next year, when anything is possible.

I actually think it's better to bring him off the bench. Bring him on after the opening exchanges where the game is a bit more open gets more out of him.

On one hand I don't think it was a bombed try, it was a great ankle tap which saved the try. On the other hand I think a more quality winger could score that. I'm not sure what people expect from our backup winger though.

Don’t think Hull will be blaming Connor for that defeat.
Comfortably best player on the pitch in the first half.
It was their pack that went missing in the second half.
Their halves had very little to work with.

On reflection, always pleasing to beat Hull.
I work with a couple of their fans, so will be sweet tomorrow.
Can’t fault the effort and energy - that was the difference in the end.

Good first 5 mins, then we fell apart in the first half.
Their kicking game killed us.
Only a couple of very good individual tries, along with poor attempts from Sneyd, kept us in it.
Different game second half.
Their pack were shot. They’ll be disappointed with that.
Last 20 mins could only see one winner.

Excellent performances from Martin, King, Smith, Prior and MOM Newman.
Good performances from Leeming, Myler, Gannon and Holroyd.
Poor performances from T Briscoe and Dwyer.

Will take the result all day long, but can’t see either of those two teams, or anyone else, troubling the top 3 in the play offs.

I don’t think he deserved MOM but Dwyer wasn’t poor IMO

Maybe a bit unfair.
But we all know you get good and bad with Dwyer.
Last night the bad outweighed the good for me.
Dreadful passing (as always).
But not much going froward. He usually creates something by darting into gaps, but can’t remember him doing that last night.

Tense win over the Cods last night, but I thought the fare from both teams was average.Like the previous poster didn't think Dwyer was poor some people seem to have an agenda with him.Also Newman redeemed himself after his brainfart to spark the Hull mini revival.Thought most of our 3/4's were gash for large chunks of the game but that could have been due to the skinny ten Hicks allowed Hull.Peeved when he did us for offside after taking us back 11 meters in the second half.Was anyone else screaming at Briscoe in the dying minutes to keep away from the touch line? Broadbent,Martin,Prior,and Leeming were the stand outs last night.Still a lot to improve but great spirit shown by the team.

Or when dwyer copped a head shot which saw hime dazed and with a bloody nose, just a tap on the head apparently!

I actually have some sympathy for the officials as they have to clamp down on head shots but theres so many throughout a game wed have none stop penalties/sin binnings and f they all were dealt with by the letter of the law!

On that Donaldson gets us at least one or two penalties per game hes always getting tackled head high

On the penalties theme,Savellio is usually worthy of a couple of penalties for the opposition,but he seemed to keep a lid on his "baby rage"and sledging last night which was disappointing.Also Sky didn't show Pearson's boat race at the end after showing him earlier on punching the air.
