You need to remove that chip off your shoulder and learn the rules. You are wrong, and you are clueless.
The four disallowed Friday as well were not all for forward, just two were, and one of them was harsh.

Erm which rule is that? the legendary "momentum rule" or the one that allows teams to employ NFL passes?

| I was stood right in line with Liam Sutcliffe and his pass for Duckworth's try, and it looked blatantly forward to me.

I thought it was too. But the previous one looked OK and was ruled out so figured it evens itself up.
Either that or if you throw enough, they'll eventually let you get away with one

| For those of you who dont know when deciding whether a pass is forward or not, its path relative to the ground is not relevant. Read the rules, take the referee course and watch the youtube video all explain it perfectly well

The Leeds player who threw the pass for the the first try had no forward momentum of his own; he was travelling across the field.
His pass was released behind the 10m line and clearly bounced in front of the 10m line. It was a a forward pass that should have easily been picked up by the officials.

It went out of his hands backwards, and that is all that needs to happen. Learn the sodding rules. Worst set of supporters going Wakefield.

| Yep. Been and done that.
So, if the ball left his hands backwards, and the player had no forward momentum of his own to influence the path of the ball, what magical jiggery pokery happened to the ball to make it go forward?

Sutcliffe is running forwards with the ball. Are the laws of physics different in Wakefield?

| There's absolutely no reason why Sutcliffe shouldn't be able to pass that ball backwards from that position.

| I've looked and as far as I can see there's no exception for games played in Wakefield.

Yes, it can BOUNCE forward, but it can't LAND forward of the passer. The ball was thrown forward by the passer.
Sutcliffe was not moving forward with the momentum to move the ball forward at the rate it did.

You never tire of being wrong, do you?
If I am - for example - playing with a strong wind at my back I can pass the ball laterally and have it land in front of the point at which I passed it, even if I am standing still. It's still a legitimate pass, despite the fact it lands in front of where I released it.
The only criteria that matters is the direction of the ball the split second it leaves my hands. Providing that is not forward, it is not a forward pass.

Yes, but the ball cannot change direction UNLESS another force acts upon it, such, as you suggest, wind (of which there was none), so, without momentum imparted by the direction of the passer (of which there was none), how on Earth did the ball move forward after leaving his hands?
I can tell you. It was passed forward.

Here's an easy one for you, was Sutcliffe running forward when he passed the ball?

The ball went forward about 3 metres.
Was he running FORWARD at 3m/s?
No, he wasn't.

But wait, you said he had no forward momentum at all before.
So now he does have forward momentum but you've measured it at less than 3m/s. A very slow speed for a half. Or anyone for that matter.
You've also, I notice, measured the point at which the ball left Sutcliffe's hands and the point it hits the ground as 3 metres.
Interesting. Bullsh|t, but interesting nonetheless.

| Just seen the previous weeks highlights from the game at headingley, there was a blatant forward pass from Tim Smith to Kirmond in the play before the kick through for wakeys first try. Fans will always be the same, bias in their assessment of decisions for and against their side, though Leeds apparently are the only team to get away with forward passes.
Oh and the short ball for the Ali try is questionable too.
