Not taking TMFMISL title at all literally, hence my use of TMFBPISL, and I agree with your assessment of his place in the squad. Far from comparing him with JP. I class Bailey with the likes of Kirke and Cross as one of the players that are by no way inked into the 17 on a weekly basis and one that Singleton, Ambler and Amor could oust.

Whilst his worth is not of the calibre of JP he certainly IS inked into the 17 when fit as his appearence record will back up and whilst i look forward to the likes of young Singleton breaking through it will be a while yet before he or any of the others mentioned will oust him (unless of course his contract does'nt get renewed).

Could TMFMISL's contract really not be renewed? Don't even whisper it unless it becomes true.

Others have correctly recalled fairly recent manifestations of this phenomenon. In total it occurred on four occasions last season alone. However 2010 did include a feat rarely seen - consecutive first half nillings. 28th August V Warrington in the Challenge Cup Final (0-14) and the following week Away at Hull (0-12)

If anyone is interested (as all those recalled were away from Headingley) the last time Leeds failed to score in the opening forty in a Home game was V Huddersfield (0-6) 14th June 2009.

Finally people often recall the half-time 0-0 game V Hull at the KC Stadium in 2004 but few seem to recall the other 0-0 half-time game for Leeds during the SL Era. And that game was played at Headingley.

The prop in question, if I've got the right man, made around 10 'soft meters' before reaching the Wakefield defensive line where he pushed through and made a further 3 'hard meters' in contact.

And so you should be but just imagine how dirty you'd have been if you'd seen it.

Perfectly timed run, neither arriving too early or too late, good pace forward to make maximum use of the free meters on offer, clever footwork before the defensive line allowing for a strong leg drive in the contact (no surrender), collision won landing on hands and knees resulting in a quick play the ball against a now disorganised Wakefield defence who panicked and (probably) conceded a penalty on the next play. That penalty gaining Leeds the territory that led to Watkins equalising score.

That run from Bailey was without a shadow of a doubt the game changing play.
