| Recognise the name/era of all the top 12 but the one I know least about is Stan Smith. When did he play for Leeds?

A bit before our time.
Stan Smith was signed from Wakefield in 1930 and played for Leeds until his retirement in 1939. In all he made 261 appearances, scoring 187 tries. He played on the opposite flank to the great Eric Harris.
I guess they were the equivalent of our Smith and Atky.

Rob Burrow's next SL Appearance will be his 200th for Leeds and he will become the 5th player to reach the mark in the SL Era.
1 - Kevin Sinfield 251
2 - Keith Senior 236
3 - Barrie McDermott 219
4 - Francis Cummins 217
5 - Rob Burrow 199'"
Just a gentle nudge post the WCC match.
Danny McGuire now needs 7 points to move into 4th on the Leeds points scorer list of the SL Era and should his partner in crime play it will indeed be his 200th Appearance. Somewhat fitting if he plays as it will be in the same town as he made his full debut in Daryl Powell's first game in charge.

| It's been a while but Danny McGuire has finally got the points he needed to move up to fourth on the Leeds point scoring list of the SL Era.
1 = Kevin Sinfield 2,055 Pts
2 = Iestyn Harris 1,455 Pts
3 = Rob Burrow 726 Pts
4 = Danny McGuire 614 Pts
5 = Francis Cummins 612 Pts
Brian McClennan's Leeds reached the 1,000 point barrier (33 games) in the SL Regular Rds at St Helens. The only Leeds coach to fall short of the mark was Dean Lance with 806 over his 32 SL Reg Rd games in charge.
Keith Senior now needs two tries to become the second Leeds player to pass 150 tries for the club in the SL Era. Danny McGuire tops the list at present with 153.
Jamie Peacock needs to make two more appearances to join the Leeds 100 club. When it happens he will become the 26th player to reach the mark.

Sorry about that, it's been a bit quiet on the obvious milestone front and I haven't had the energy or mindset to go after the more obscure.

| tvoc - out of interest, how many tries did John Holmes score for Leeds? In some book I read I'm sure it said about 150, but he's not on the top try scorers list.

Last year's original figures are from page 7 [url=http://viewtopic.php?t=341569&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90here[/urlabout half way down.
They were correct then. When I quoted that post I inadvertently changed a few of the figures when posting the update. I realised what I had done and tried to change tham all back but obviously I missed that one. Well spotted.
In light of Andrew Farrell's recent announcement, here is his primary claim to fame:
Top Points Scorers V Leeds (SL Era All Games):
Andrew Farrell Played 26 + 0, Tries 9, Goals 107, DG's 2 Points 252
Sean Long Played 33 + 1, Tries 7, Goals 105, DG's 2 Points 240
Paul Deacon Played 33 + 7, Tries 3, Goals 99, DG's 2 Points 212
Henry Paul Played 27 + 0, Tries 14, Goals 70, DG's 1 Points 197

| The Huddersfield match was Matt Diskin's 200th start at hooker for Leeds.
Jamie Jones-Buchanan recent consecutive try-scoring run ended at four matches. The last forward to achieve that at Leeds was Ali Lauitiiti in 2004. The only other Leeds forward to manage a try in four consecutive appearances during the SL Era was Adrian Morley in 1998.
Looking forward to this week's Harlequin game:
As flagged up above it will be Danny McGuire's 200th Appearance for Leeds should he play.
He'll become the 7th Leeds player to reach the mark in the SL Era:
1 - Kevin Sinfield 316 (289 + 27)
2 - Keith Senior 296 (295 + 1)
= 3 - Francis Cummins 268 (255 + 13)
= 3 - Barrie McDermott 268 (190 + 78 )
5 - Rob Burrow 252 (180 + 72)
6 - Matt Diskin 219 (201 + 18 )
7 - Danny McGuire 199 (160 + 39)

| Out of interest tvoc, where did you have Ryan Hall playing on Saturday night?
As has been mentioned, he was officially named at centre, with Gibson on the wing, but I don't think that's the way they lined up at all.

I lined them up where they played at kick-off. Ashley Gibson at right centre and Ryan Hall on the left wing.
The beauty of keeping my own unofficial records is that they can reflect actual events rather than imaginary ones as per Saturday night.
It appears that Opta haven't bought the official teamsheet line up either according to [url=http://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player.php?hs1=2009&hp1=2918&hs2=2009&hp2=1836&stat=tries&season=2009these[/url.
What they term as 'position' changes when players are played in a different starting spot, so they also consider Hall started on the left wing and Gibson started at right centre.
Peter Smith has also ignored the teamsheet listing [url=http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/leeds-rhinos-news/Leeds-Rhinos-How-they-rated.5184973.jphere[/url so it appears I may be in with the majority view on this occasion.

My guess on this is that Leeds filled out the teamsheet with Hall at centre, and Sky just went off that.

A while to wait but the Castleford game will be Brian McClennan's 50th in charge of Leeds at a ground he has yet to win on.
Leeds require three - two pointers to register 2000 during the SL Era in all comps.
Jamie Jones-Buchanan's next start will be his 100th in the SL Regular Rounds. He'll become the 15th Leeds player to reach the mark, the last being Gareth Ellis in his final Regular Round match for Leeds.
Two fairly unusual bench sitters at Murrayfield in Danny McGuire and Matt Diskin. The last time (prior to Sunday) that McGuire warmed the bench was 40 games ago while for Diskin it was 33 games ago. The last time they shared the bench was 117 games ago.
Keith Senior has two landmarks coming up shortly. His next appearance will be number 299 for Leeds so the Hull game at Headingley has a good chance of being number 300, where he'll become only the second player to reach the mark at Leeds during the SL Era. Assuming he starts at Castleford and at home to Hull, his following start (Les Catalans Away) will be his 300th for Leeds during the SL Era and he'll be the first player to reach that landmark for the club.
