Think Cas will rest up now. Specially next week at Wigan

I'm interested in your logic as to how you think Leeds will win the GF?

Three of the better sides are much worse than they were last year: Saints, Wigan and Warrington. The fact that Wakefield with their limited squad are 4th tells you something about the standard of the league. Their game with Saints was simply horrific. Can you honestly say the standards are not dropping in the league - seriously?

I don't think Leeds are any better - they still leak big numbers on regular basis - how many did Cas score last night. Leeds are averaging 22 points a game conceded - last year when everyone said the defence was shocking they only conceded 25 points a game - the improvement in the defence is marginal at best especially if you accept the standard of the league is falling.

You can't say that on here - Leeds are a great side this year that is why they are second. Its just when they play Cas they have an off day every time (sic)

I normally go to cas but couldn't go last night. I gather Golding spent the night on the bench? If that's the case he should be used at some stage of the game. Mainly to get some match practice in. Managed to watch most of the hull-Wigan game.
Good old fashioned game lots of niggle and aggression. If we meet either of these teams in the playoffs we will have a major challenge.

Wigan's attack is turgid, wouldnt be too worried about them right now imho

Like i said, Warrington -same team more or less but have slid down the table from last years LLS winners, hardly an indication the league is weaker is it?

Wigan - struggled with a few key injuries like us last year but they have hung in better to give themselves a shot late on. How exactly is that team they have now weaker than 2016? please do tell.

Don't get me wrong, again i agree the league as a whole is not strong at all, but it wasn't last year either. It's about the same if we are honest.

What are people's thoughts on the 8 on the trot (nearly all very easy) defeats to our bitter rivals?
It seems as though those in charge don't see it as an issue as we get the we won the second half so some credit!
Cas are a great attacking side and deservedly have cruised the league but we're beaten easily by the same tactics so are the players not good enough or the coach is always out-coached by Powell? Either way it's a showing up!

Not according to Printer - our GF experience is all that matters - relative quality is immaterial the better side will lose because some of our players have been to OT before - go figure.

All I would say is Leeds need to avoid Wigan in the semi - cant see them beating a team with a real leader

OK - given 3 teams have scored more points than Leeds why do you think they are suddenly going to turn the tables?

I haven't had chance to catch the two today but if they are up there with yesterday you are not joking.

What really strikes me about the game in the NRL aside from the standards is their allowing the game to flow. There was a number of occasions where our refs would blow up for a video ref decision yet they go with their gut and others that are 50/50 and do go upstairs a decision is made straight away, not 10 or more veiwings. The video ref alone is killing the spectacle, something needs doing and fast.

Classy cocky cass certainly have our number, but that won't last forever.

Our experience isn't ALL that matters but it does matter. A GF week/night is a whole different experience to anything else in the season.

A Grand Final week is very different when you have a Sinfield, a Peacock, a Lueluai, a Senior, an Ali, a Webb etc in your team.

This Leeds team is a pale shadow of that. We saw that with the performance in the one true big game so far the cup semi.

Yes weve been to Grand Finals before. Weve got the reputation and aura of winners on the biggest stage but this team doesnt have the ability.

Weve no structure, no moves, no pace in key areas, our middle is soft, weve no size in the back row, no impact off the bench.

We might reach Old Trafford because we take some beating at Headingley but the team has too many failings for me to win the competiton. Cas couldve rattled 60 or 70 past us Fri if they hadnt put the cue on the rack just after HT.

The coach they have is far superior. They prepare better, they are a far superior team at this moment it pains me to say.

1 hour before kick their kickers come out with Ryan Sheridan and practice various kicks. Kicking 40/20s, attacking kicks. We dont bother.

The difference in attacking between the teams is stark and clear for all to see. They attack at pace with bodies in motion, dummy runners everywhere. We are pedestrian with no set plays. Their wingers get walk ins every week due to the runners inside them. Our wingers never get the same chances and are used as extra props.

Id love us to win at Old Trafford but i fear we are nowhere good enough to beat the teams we would have to beat.

This team isnt the team that won previous finals.
