| Quote ="Mark Laurie"Personally I would let achurch go now. Ablett and Delaney on way back. Let's go mad and be a pro club with 2 hookers. I expect McGuire and burrow to be halves for rest of year and I would interchange falloon and SegEyaro
This time of year McD usually sets his team up for season end. Injuries permitting I don't expect to see much more of Golding, lilley, Walters or handley this year. Sutcliffe at fb and you know the rest. We may want falloon for next year'"
I agree. If anyone has to leave now it should be Achurch even if he's found a bit of form recently

I watched this but also noticed how homesick he was for townsville unfortunately for him & us Leeds is a bit further away from there than Penrith actually is so i very much doubt he'll be here any longer than he has to be.
Hopefully though S.T George get him & we take Rein so we still end up with a quality 9.

| Quote ="BrisbaneRhino"I hope Hardaker goes well in the NRL. The game is a lot more structured here so his passing may well be good enough because they'll practice the same moves repeatedly. I'd say his problem with passing isn't the physical ability to pass, just that its almost always a second thought after running. what I haven't seen is any sense that Leeds have tried to work on it - at the Panthers he'll have to or will get found out and not picked.'"
His passing game is poor, kills so many plays, especially in the opponents 20.
I was always puzzled when people wanted him to play in the halves for obvious distribution short comings.

I think you are confusing his passing game, with the choices he makes. His passing game is most certainly not poor, but he does make wrong choices, on and off the field.

His passing game overall, by all definitions, is poor for me.
He has a window to pass when he does decide to pass windows usually closed by time he executes it.

Agree with this as Rein looks a decent hooker from what I have seen of him.
It wont matter anyway as Clark is signing from Warrington in exchange for Watkins.

| Segeyaro is a cracking player and is as hard as nails, He is the ideal #9 IMO
He looks to me like he needs to feel loved, he has had a very troubled upbringing and has had to endure some serious emotional turmoil along the way during his formative years
I'm sure that Gary will make sure that he is well looked after when he arrives and that the club hopes that he will fall in love with the place and ant to stay on much longer

| I'm going to put my neck out here and say that Segayaro will be/is the BEST hooker the Super League has EVER seen.

I have to agree with this. But in reality it's going to be 2.5 years out of a long life, if he can see it as that then maybe he will stay.
I always wonder about the validity of the homesickness excuse. These guys play short term contracts - 2-3 years and then they can go back home. It's a fraction of your life. I think it's more to do with what's going on on the field or how you fit in personally. If you rock up somewhere a w*****r without the luxury of your long time crowd of mates/beer buddies things can be difficult. Also, if you win everything one year and then find yourself in a team bottom of the league the next suddenly feeling like you want to be somewhere else is a good reason to suddenly come down with a case of "homesickness". Multiply that with a wife and kids in tow I suppose.

Yep. Effectively an 11 or 12 game 'guest spell' depending on whether we end up in the MPG

So I guess we'll be trying to make him feel at home so that he'll commit to signing a "proper" deal.
Though my worry is that with Falloon only on a 1 year deal we could easily end up with no hookers again.

I honk they'll look to keep him on again next season, as well as Segeyaro. In the NRL they are saying its a two and a half year deal for Segeyaro with a clause in his contract to leave if an NRL club comes in for him.

I can't see an nil team not coming in for him, there is a bit of a dearth of top class hookers atm and segeyaro is top quality

| Millward on Segeyaro...
"Leeds have signed a genuine world class player. He's very dynamic, runs a lot form dummy half and is an outstanding talent.
"I think he'll change the way Leeds play, he will make their ruck quicker in attack and give the halves and outside backs greater opportunities. I think he's the kick-start the club needed and I'm sure he's going to become a big favourite over in England."

You can disregard anything Millward says, 2 weeks a go he said Zak should play centre because he is very similar to Dugan (a player at the club he works for) the very next week they deemed Dugan a ineffective at centre and moved him back to fullback

If he does the business we should dump some crap and make him an offer he can't refuse. A good 9 adds so much to how the rest of the forwards play. Invaluable.

| Agreed. If you look at our squad we have far too many average forwards. We need to do better at identifying quality rather than quantity.

| Sounds thrilled to have joined us......
''Super League-bound James Segeyaro has vowed to return to the NRL.
The 25-year-old will join Leeds for the rest of the Super League season and could debut for the club against Widnes on July 3.
Either way Segeyaro said he wants to get back to the NRL.
"I want to get back to that form that I believe I can get back to and hopefully come back to the NRL," Segeyaro told Channel Nine on Monday night.
"I have never been in this situation before, a club never wanting me. I was shocked to be in reserve grade ... they said it was best for me if I leave the club."
"We were trying to find different clubs (in the NRL). But everyone else has three or four hookers."

Work permit approved, Leeds just waiting for the paperwork to come through. The day it does, he'll be on a plane to the UK.
