That's not strictly true. IIRC Buderus was playing very well for Leeds before getting injured against Wigan, and the team as a whole were on form. The system wasn't working at the time only insofar as the team lost intensity when Diskin came on. Obviously Diskin is a perfectly adequate hooker (and less injury prone to boot) who plays better when he's on the pitch for longer spells, but a player of Buderus's ability and experience should not be overlooked.

Really?
So the 1985 Premiership Final where the Harry Sunderland trophy was awarded was between Wigan and Hull was it?
I think you'll find it was Warrington v Halifax.
Wigan v Hull was the Challenge cup.
Thanks for confirmation that you think the Harry Sunderland is awarded in the Challenge Cup.

I think you will find you are also wrong, because doing a google search it was Harry Pinner that won the Harry Sunderland that year, for St Helens v Hull KR.
Kind of proves my whole point. Most know jack 5h1t off the top of their head 25 years down the line.

No change. I dont bend over and take one over everything the club does. I disagree on some things too and this is one of them.
Why did we sign a 3rd hooker and has he been value for money in his 14 months with the club?

| Results wise, we seem to win more when he's not playing than when he is.
Maybe Tvoc could come in here???
Over last season and up to now what is our win ratio when he plays and when he doesn't.
And maybe more importantly what is the win ratio of the games he has played in a rhino shirt compared to our average???
Work to do tvoc!!
My own opinion of Buderus isn't much.
BUT to me he's like a Prague prostitute - will do the job - but you can get an exqually good job elsewhere without the premium rate.
Or something like that!!

I think you'll find the 85-86 season was Warrington and I'd hazard a guess at Les Boyd.

Why? i'm happy to let the club run things but I can still disagree if I want. It doesn't mean I dont think the club are doing a grand job of running things.

No need for tvoc to do any work, because it means absolute poop.
Let's be honest here. You claimed early last year, and to your credit, that the club were holidng back in the first half of the year but would come good at the business time.
The player holding that hooking role at the time was always going to share in a winning team. That could quite easily have been Buderus had he not got injured.
Wins per game ratio in the first half of the season is irrelevant. Is Kirke now a super star because he has missed most games for the last couple of years, and only been playing in the ones we won when our performances picked up?

Is Kirke better than JJB then, because of his wins per game ratio over last 2 seasons?

Think about it. You were the one chipping in with the billy big quoting a response to bloodbath.
If you don't want to contribute, don't chip in.
Let me make it simple for you. If bloodbath's view that there is relevance in Buderus's win per games ratio in comparison to Diskin, does this prove something with Kirke's win per games ratio in comparison to JJB?

What I would suggest is that Leeds' game looks more organised and natural without Buderus playing.
We have won the last 3 GF's without his input. Last season in the run-in we more than managed with him being injured. We wouldn't miss him.
Yeah of course he comes up the odd nice play but he hasn't done enough to warrant calling him a 'key player'.
When you look what he has done in his career (SOO etc) I'm disappointed that he hasn't (and doesn't look like becoming) a key player for us.
If you want to compare what I was saying and directly do the same for Ian Kirke than you are being creative with my words. When Ian Kirke's involvement and impact (and street value) is in the same ballpark as Buderus than YES you may do so. Until that point......

Which you wouldn't get from thos stats that you asked for. You only asked for win per game ratio, not how can we prove we look more organized without Buderus.
Therefore, you agree then, the stats would be irrelevant?
I agree by the way in principle with both those above comments. But emphasise I only agree with the 1st point because I have maintained all along since the first few games of last year that the two hookers does not work. And would further emphasies that had the injury been the other way round last year, that this thread would never have happend and nobody would be arguing over who is best.

What relevance does it have to us signing Buderus or not signing Buderus though?
We won SL without him last year. We'd have probably won it had it been Diskin injured and him playing but that's by the by. Did we need him or not?
