If this forum has all the gossip stripped out half the posts and half the fun would disappear.

We are mostly smart enough and wise enough to take the 3rd party 4th hand rumours and overheard gossip as speculative. But I wouldn't want to see those contributions stop. At best they generate "what if" type debate and at worst they come to nothing. Where's the harm?

I enjoy reading the contributions of most that post on here including Tad and yourself, I don't take anything as gospel until it is confirmed by the club, but it is good to get involved in some of the debates that result. (But not those that drone on for 40 pages moving in ever decreasing circles, Morning Smokey, Printer and Gotcha).

They can post rumours about signings and what not. Clark coming to Leeds, whether it happens or not it seems logical that we'd try go for him.

When they post the Brierly one and people say they don't think Leeds would wait until Leigh's fate is resolved....they shouldn't get their knickers in a twist if people explained why they don't think that one will happen.

If you're going to post transfer rumours then you should have a thick enough skin to accept some won't believe it.

Too many posters on this forum are so insecure that they have to drag up history and say "I told you so" too many times and bring back old arguments, in an effort to get back at other posters for some strange reason.

There is some posters that really need to start feeling a lot better about themselves, and just don't give a toss and be the bigger man. If you are right about something you are right, if you are wrong about something you are wrong, does it really matter, do you need to tell the world. At least points raised give something to discuss.

Get back at other posters? I'd assumed it was more a celebration of their having got something right for once

Juan, I intended my post as a light hearted call for more tolerance and less individual feuding. I don't understand the beef between you and Tad , I'm just a bit fed up with the various feuds that seem to be proliferating. No beef with you, just a general call for tolerance, please don't take it to heart.

Don't worry TC I understand your concern. I have no problem with being pulled up if I overstep the mark. Tad and I have differing opinions on certain players and coaches but I wouldn't have regarded it as a feud as often it is expressed in good humor albeit sarcastic humor. Tad doesn't usually resort to personal verbals like this so he is obviously under some stress, but I am happy to buy him a pint so long as it's not that awful Taddy stuff

And MANY posters on here go for wins (again myself included) doesn't have to mean that poster is insecure (is labelling them that trying to pick up a 'win' against them?) could just be banter or even letting off steam by having a pop on here at someone instead of the wife or your boss etc. How often do you go through a day wanting to call somebody a 'so & so' and tell them what you really think but bite your tongue face to face? Do people call others "kn*bs, dumbasses, idiots, s" regularly during their working day? No not at all but we don't give it a second thought on here.
