Firstly Sal and I are not alone in suggesting that Hardaker falls short in the skills department much to the shagrin of Zak's fan club. Secondly no one has said that everything is Hardakers fault and thirdly we have praised ZH for his defence while being critical of his lack of creativity and class in attack (but have given due credit for metres made) On occasions when others have been singled out for errors in defense I have pointed out some of the times when Zak too has made defensive errors which is overlooked by many.

Sutcliffe was a bit slow to get to the 40/20 but you could say so was Hall. Hardaker may or may not have done better but it was a good kick.

I do think that Briscoe could not have been worse than Handley for both the two second half tries and I think he would also have made the try assist pass that Handley failed with.

Apart from your inability to 'c' properly (chagrin and defence) .....I do have to agree with you. It is still puzzling however why you considered BJB to be the better all round FB

I agree with your first paragraph and had spotted my old sparring pal tvoc's remarks which you have to qualify due to his position as a founder member of the 'doom-mongers club' (DMC) I was relaxed when he was predicting against Leeds, when we were doing so well earlier in the season, but since he started tipping Leeds to win...well you know what has happened and worse still he has deserted his coaching hero and is now predicting against Warrington

....... I wonder if there are any application forms left to join the DMC ?

Seems to me that this board is having a bit of a mid season slump to mirror the teams. Over the last week or two it has decended into a personal slanging match between 2 small polarised camps. Wigan showed the world just how mediocre they are in that embarrassing defeat to Warrington last week. McDermott should have masterminded a comfortable win against such a dispirited side.

I think Brian has earned quite a bit of criticism tonight.

Nobody else has beaten Wigan at home this season.
So no disgrace in losing in the way we did.

1.Had Wigan played the same mistake ridden, lifeless performance they showed against Wire last week we would have hammered them

2. Wigan were at home, are unbeaten there, and were near to full strength and every man jack of them raises their game when they play us without fail no matter the teams form (i.e Matty Bowen)

3. Silverwood was poor and we got nothing.

4. Mcdermott has no case to answer
