I've been thinking the same thing. I always have an uneasy feeling when an opposing coach rules out a key player from a massive game weeks away. A bit like the one you get when cold called by someone you don't know telling you that you've a holiday in
a competition you didn't enter.

I'm sure it's genuine, just a bit of extra time to make sure he's 100% and not carrying anything into the final.

Kelly will play. how fit he is is another matter

Kelly offers very little that any time should be worried about, fit or not. He's easily targeted out of the game, and has looked lost since Campese's injury. People talk about him like he's some sort of Joey Johns reborn, but I don't see it. There's a reason not one NRL side wanted to take a punt on him instead of him coming to a mediocre, mid-table SL side.

Re Leigh yesterday, I thought that almost their entire team seemed more concerned about how their hair would look on tv than being prepared to knuckle down for 80 minutes.

You can always quantify a player's true value by weighing up how many rival supporters covet that player !!!! Hardaker, Watkins, Cuthbertson, Roby, Sam Tomkins, Westwood maybe even Brough .....but Kelly?!? Hmmm

I've seen enough of Kelly to know he's hugely over-hyped on the basis of a couple of length of the field tries early in the year.

He might be over hyped, that is true, but he is exciting to watch, which to be fair is what spectators pay for. What isn't debatable however, is that he came from the NRL, he was wanted back by the NRL, so therefore it is wrong to say they would not touch him.

The only way I can see a HKR win is by a fantastic 17-man showing. Whether Kelly plays well, or indeed plays at all, is of relatively minor importance in comparison.

And Leeds should expect HKR to play the game of their lives. I don't think this'll be an easy game by any stretch.

When we play well as a team we can match anyone when we don't were terrible hence getting beat 60-0 at Wigan and then going there the following week and beating them we've beaten Wigan Wire and Catalans twice also Saints but have also lost to Wakefield Widnes and Salford

Without a doubt HKR will be fired up as you say; I'm also hoping the whirlwind Leeds start combined with the occassion overwhelming HKR will more than counteract that. Here's hoping Cuthbertson doesn't do 'a Buderus' with his first touch.

Looking forward to this game, with so many stalwarts leaving and a few out injured I think our intensity will be very high ,got to be able to control our enthusiasm

Key for HKR in their cup wins has been some tenacious defence. In the first 30 mins vs Warrington they could've been 3 scores down with the possession Wire had near KR's goal line. However doing that on the compact Headingley pitch is one thing, but the size of the Wembley pitch is another kettle of fish especially against this Leeds side who I think showed vs Saints that we will still play our attacking style despite the occasion. We're just as likely to score a try from 70m out as we are 7m away so it makes life so much harder for the opposition defence when they aren't just dealing with run of the mill-up the middle-complete the set rugby. Just can't see them being able to contain us to few enough points (less than 20) to win as I think defensively we've improved in the cup matches that we won't ship many in at our end.
