I will be surprised if he lasts one season never mind three. I am 12 stone and my knees are shot, Mitch is ' top heavy' to say the least,so don't know what state his knees will be like.

Well if your name represents that you are a runner and one of decent distance then road running v Rugby training and playing is vastly different on the knees. I expect that Mitch will have 2 solid seasons, maybe slowing down in his 3rd year on the basis of potential injuries. Leeds would be better with him than without at present

I think I must be in the minority but it feels like we are slightly overating him. He had good go froward a poor gas tank and not brilliant in defence. As above with less rotation might not be good for him. I trust the management that maybe his off field attitude wasn’t what we needed. Good look to him but I can’t get as worked up about it as some seem to be

No great loss , an overhyped tub of lard , incredible how a professional sportsman can be so unfit and out of shape . Maybe a proper athlete may take his place .

Played 9 games last season, 2 of which were off the bench and I'd hazard a guess he was in the Top 5 in terms of salary.

Rumour has it, that was part of the problem towards the end of last season. He wasn't comfortable sitting in the stands (or anywhere else for that matter). Needs to eat more fruit.

As good as he was & tbf he looked the fittest ive ever seen him it's 1 game.
He had plenty of good games for us but rarely seen the last 12,/18mths he was here.
We definately need at least 1/2,impact fwds but lets see how Merrin goes for us & how long MB can keep up last nights form before any overall judgement.

At least one of those is sat in the stand because he isn't good enough,never the case with Garbutt.
He did miss most of last season, but played most of 2017, and should have been retained imo.

without doubt should have been retained , we have far too many 2nd rowers and ordinary players , we could have saved 3 wages to pay Mitch . Ferris , Peteru , Donaldson , Walters , Crosby and Ormanroyd to name a few

How would you have got rid of Ferres, Peteru, Waters and Ormondroyd can I ask? They was all under contract and nobody wanted them. You can add Mullally to the list also.

The new regime had to address the issue of injured players and Garbutt was a big culprit.

I agree Peteru isn't good enough but he is as good as Garbutt when sitting in the stand watching as Garbutt did during much of his time at Leeds.

Agree he looked good last night, maybe the change has been good for him. I imagine we go rid because we needed to free up some cap space and the others mentioned were never gonna go we got rid of the one who we could get an offer for. It’s a large rebuilding from McDermott mess and was never going to be sorted in one off season. Sort term might seem like a mistake but in the long run we will have to wait and see
