The one mistake McDermott owned up to in 2016 was picking injured players when he shouldn't have. Lets hope that changes.

I also disagree with the OTT excuses with injuries. We could and should do better with what we have, injuries don't explain lethargic careless performances. At this stage of the season no players should be tired - we're not even half way through the season.

On another note, one thing I don't understand is why we play more one-man rugby when we're lacking props. If there's one gameplan you ought to avoid its that - if we lack grunt upfront we should try to play to our (relative) strengths and move the ball around.

We really are down to the bare bones now, shows the lack of quality in the squad, and the decision not to at least put another warm body in as a replacement for Galloway has been a massive mistake.

A win this week would be a huge achievement for that bunch of players.

Watching Cas crumble to Saints again at home last night again puts into perspective how bad we were last week. Not having a pop at Cas, just think we were that dire, we let them do what they wanted.Whatever happens this weekend to us, lets hope the effort and desire is not lacking.

Pretty much agree. TBH, I don't think cas played a great deal worse last night than when they beat us in Newcastle.

Correct, ironically saints played the sort of rugby cas played last season. When the occasion arises they move the ball quickly along the line. Strange tantrum from Powell, bearing in mind they were awarded a try which should have been disallowed. The disputed knock on incident when barba scored, cas had enough players to stop him. Loved the way he swatted Mc Shane off.
Probably Powell’s frustration was due to the fact that cas aren’t as good as last season and certainly don’t look like winning anything this season.
