wouldnt call scraping by a point against a mid table team a " good win" but whatever floats your boat mate.

| Will have to watch the game again later but I can’t remember seeing any short kick offs today. Hopefully Rohan has changed tactic on those and decided to only use them sparingly. Now we just need to start moving up aggressively in defence and we should have a chance in most games.
Nene, Handley, McDonnell, Tet and Lisone very good today.

| Austins kicking was class today and seizer stepped it up. Felt we could easily have had a couple more trys just a lack of smart decision making and structure in attack

| First twenty or so aside there were some good performances in there.
They’ve been much maligned, but I thought both Tet and Lisone were very good and their introduction marked the game starting to turn. McDonnell continues to impress and Johnson was tidy off the bench.
For me atm Bentley just isn’t pulling his weight, offers little with the ball and seems to be missing a lot of tackles.
As others have said need to back it up comfortably against Hull next week.
Oh and Conner dribbling the ball to touch only for his teammates to explain their behind on the scoreline then him to look confused at the scoreboard….priceless.

What players do they have that you would want other than Connor, they consistently fail to perform against the top teams ( losses to wigan, saints and wire ) yet beat the rubbish sides consistently. The definition of a mid table side.

| Average performance, but a very good win.
MoM for me was McDonnell. What a great player he is. Quality signing.
Impressed with the Tet and Lisone impacts as well.
And I love to see to see Johnson getting game time. He oozes control. Hope we see more of him.
Could have gone either way tonight tbh, but will take the W.

they are a solid side but when you see the individual quality we have, and then the lack of points we put up when having the pressure for 60 minutes its a bit diapointing. Giants defended well but we also lack structure in our offense. Glad we got the 2 points at the end of the day but we shouldnt kid ourselves that there isnt a lot to work on.

| That first 20 25 were awful with and without the ball, reminiscent of most of our other starts. People rightly commented on that accordingly, the shift was similar to the catalan game in terms of intensity and purpose. The point is that we can't rely on chucking those starts away every week as it could easily have been 18-0.
Bentleys got a long way to go if he thinks he's getting a sniff at NRL. Big raps to Harry, Macdonald, Mcdonnell, Holroyd, Smith and the impact from Tetevano and Lisone especially.

| That Seth, is exactly what I get frustrated at. It’s unprofessional to start so poorly in so many games this season. We will give ourselves too much to do in big games if we continue with that approach.

| Neruda has found himself a niche in being the smart that turns up when we do come out on top. Less to say though v Hull, Cas, KR and Warrington.

I don’t think anyone is saying we haven’t got work to do but that’s still a good win, the poor goal kicking also made the score s bit closer than it should have been.

Huddersfield are a very strong defensive side
they only conceded 2 tries to Saints, 3 to Wigan, and 4 to current league leaders Warrington
We scored 4, and if Martin had converted all we would have won by 7 points
lets not kid ourselves that theyre a poor side or this isnt a decent result

The only thing that’s wrong is trying to claim that Hudds aren’t a good side (not by you)
I do think if we can manage to put a 80 minute performance in we will give someone a good hiding, I really hope we can do that on Friday

| We seem to be like a slow release energy drink, great win in the end.
Some lovely passes from Austin and plenty of good displays.
Must say though Connor gave me the most pleasure by missing the conversion and then grubbing into touch in an Agar stylee.
McQueen pointing at the scoreboard, joyous.
I’ll go out on a limb and bet Connor won’t be buying a Kip McGrath maths academy franchise when he hangs up
His boots.

| Watching it back, it was actually a good performance bar that opening 20 minutes - that needs sorting though!
Mcdonnell was an inspired signing! he's been excellent as has Nene!

| A tale of two halves again majority of 1st half we was poor, but 2nd half we played some entertaining & expansive rugby. James Mcdonnell was MOM he was very good I'm attack & defence for us, for me he seems to be in the Carl Ablett mold back rower a player who gets on with their job and pops up with important moments when you need them. Nene Macdonald hasn't had a bad game for us yet could be one of Signings of the season just hope he stays fit for majority of season. Rhyse Martin's try was brilliant to watch shifting the ball in our own 20 then Newman with World Class footwork & a break supported by Handley, Myler & Macdonald, then playing from right to left the next tackle for Martin to finish was great off the cuff & heads up rugby. We just need some consistency now we can't keep going as we are winning 1 week losing next, we have a very good team imo and if we do find some consistency we should be there or there abouts when silverware is being handed out.
