Anyway I've really fallen out of love with the sport and due to my new career that I am aproaching won't see too many games at all. This time last year I would have been bothered by it but now I couldn't care less. My passions gone and I think it'll take something special to get it back.

My main objection is to unrestricted internet access for the mentally deluded.

I'll have a testimonial tie just like Cummins and McDermott did, but quite rightly, mine will be a kipper one with a knot as big as yer face meaning the tie is only about three inches long - a look that should never have gone out of fashion.

And banoffee pie will be the only thing on the menu at my testimonial dinner, Malcolm Lord will be MC of course, as is the law of this land.

Tickets can be purchased online to save you having to visit an office where they may be on sale, but I'll forget to post them out to you so then you'll have to come to the office to pick them up on the day of the testimonial dinner when its really busy.

As I am no longer 10 years old I don't live and breathe whether my team wins or loses, I don't see my support as a full time religion nor do I feel I owe the club or it's players anything, the way some go on you'd think playing a sport you love was a hardship!

People live different lives and cannot or do not want to dedicate the same time and money to simply following a team.

IMO some take it far too seriously, something for me which has a similar cringe factor as middle age men who are obsessed with computer games!

On the contrary LS16, I have given many more hours of hard work and dedication to contributing to RL in Leeds than 99.9% of posters on this board (...no, I don't mind saying that). Granted, not many of them involved watching a game from the terraces, beer in one hand, burger in the other, which, reading between the lines on here, I am lead to believe is hard work, a chore even, that takes hard work and dedication. So with this new knowledge, I say how dare people come to watch a game of rugby just twice a year and take enjoyment in Leeds winning, when they have not earnt that right...damn these part-timers, damn them to hell!

Amen brother - and being able to juggle burger, beer and game appreciation simultaneously is an acquired skill (not to be undertaken by the novice supporter) and is, as you correctly surmised, very hard work indeed.

One who can demonstrate these ‘skills’ is indeed a true supporter as such skills take years to perfect.

Wouldn't expect a part time supporter who only attends when on a freebie to understand about loyalty.

As someone who has put quite a lot into the game in terms of pints and pies purchased I am offended at being talked down to by the likes of you.
