| We have been very lucky to have some fantastic wingers although the winger needs to be fortunate with his centre combo John Atkinson is my fave winger a lucky to be blessed with Les dyl an ace centre Atkinson had pace to burn the whole crowd rose when the ball was passed left he could sidestep swerve and had some mongrel about him.
Eric grothe was a monster Aussie winger only came for a short spell they called him rolling thunder like Hally but more aggressive but I'd have Atkinson and hall best two over decent periods of time

| Shame they get no service. Put Hall or Briscoe in the Wigan, Cas or Warrington and you have two potential 30 try wingers, in this Leeds team they will struggle to get to double figures imo.

| Hall is the best I've seen. Marcus Bai is the most entertaining, Scott Donald probably most underrated.

whilst both centres aren't wingers centres like senior was, for me its the halves and hooker who have affected hall and Briscoe more

| Scott Donald for me. Electrifying pace, with great footwork.
Atkinson for the same reasons, too........
Hall has to be up there, too. Just look at his scoring record. Unstoppable from 5m out!

| Ryan Hall. Then hard to choose, Atkinson before my time, carl Gibson equally good at centre or wing. John Bentley superb, but shown the door under Doug Laughton or could have been a great, Francis Cummings and Jim falling weren't bad. But gone for Scott Donald consistent try scorer and that try in the grand final.

| Alan Smith and John Atkinson, Smithy for pure power, Atky for pure speed ( although he could be a petulant sod at times ) Ryan Hall very good too.

| There was a period 2009-12 where Hall was just about the best winger I have ever seen (not just for Leeds), still had the rapid pace, could finish, comfy under the high ball, good defensive decisions, an eye for interceptions and obviously his power in returning kicks and getting the sets going.
There have been better try scorers (Offiah for one) but they all had defensive issues and weren't nearly as effective returning the ball.

| Eddie rombo was the quickest winger I've ever seen, if only for a few games.
ET should deserve a mention, though it was early in his career but you could see the talent even then.
I would probably say I was the best though, not that I'm biased.
Special mention to Phil Ford for my favourite winger moment as he hunted down Offiah even though he had to come across the pitch to get him. Fantastic moment.

| When used correctly, Calderwood was one of my favourite wingers. Pace to burn, and no one worked harder on a kick chase.

Played a crucial kick chase role in the 2004 GF stifling Lesley Vainikolo throughout.
With the likes of Sinfield, McGuire and Burrow all getting significant salary upgrades, it was alleged that Calderwood was offered a derisory take-it-or-leave-it contract which equated to not much more than one would get for stacking shelves at Tesco. It was also alleged that GH couldn't stand Calderwood's agent and wished to belittle both. Tony Smith wasn't a huge fan of Calderwood either.

Didn't Smith once drop Calderwood the week after he scored a hat trick because he kept putting the ball down one handed?

Well, good to see that when he chased what he thought he was worth and got it, he really proved Leeds wrong...

I don't recall that specific incident but I do recall Calderwood being dropped several times in 2004 and placed on some naughty step in order to belittle him. He was replaced by Francis Cummings which caused uproar among some fans here
GH and Calderwood's agent were on the same Emirates flight home from the RLWC 2008 as I was. They ignored each another in the departure lounges at Brisbane and Singapore
