Would play Brough if available. Whispers that JP might be un-retiring, so he's in brackets. Think anyone picking all 4 Burgesses at the moment is just doing it for the gimmick, though wouldn't be surprised to see McNamara to go that way along with Reed, Heighington et al.

Tried to pick players on form, hence Lunt, Ferres, Higham and Kirmond included. Not included Liam Farrell because I think he's the most overrated player currently in Super League. Unsure about Ellis as well because I don't think I've ever seen him deliver a performance of note for country, and he's had a stuttering season this year as well it's fair to say. No Hock either - don't think he has the right attitude needed to face the Aussies. Kirmond I'm sure would give 100% but may lack that cutting edge skill.

| Matty - you can't have watched the second half of the season if you think Reed has been poor. Have a look at how many tries he's scored and set up for Hoffman and Oates. He's also rated by Wally Lewis as the best defensive centre in the NRL. He was poor early, when he looked off the pace, but he's been one of the few bright spots for the Broncos this year.

You're right, I haven't seen much of him lately so I was basing my opinion of his earlier season form which wasn't too impressive IMO, from what you've said it sounds like he's come good at the right time for England selection, Cudjoe has impressed me a lot this season so it will be interesting to see who gets selected to start, I'd imagine that they both will make the squad

| Reed and Hall had a great understanding in 2011. With those two on the left and the sheer pace on the other side in Watkins and Charnley, we've got a pretty good balance in the three quarters.

| I actually think we have the players to beat the Aussies and Kiwis. The problem is our execution. You watch those two teams play and it's at pace and accurate. We can look disjointed and like they haven't had much time to prepare. Fingers crossed the training camps pay off

Ratchford has definitely been pushing. Good footballer, but looks best at FB for me and there is tough competition there.
Chase has great stats and really takes advantage of the space you get at SL level sometimes. However, I don't think his game is suited to the claustrophobic defence at international level.
Looks like for the first time in a long while we actually have some options, there have been several good teams posted so far, yours included.

| I include Ratchford because he can play centres, halfback and fullback, even slip in at hooker at a push, an injury during the game and you slip a 2nd row into centres and move him accordingly.
I know this is the Leeds board so i expect comeback but Sinfield is never an international halfback in a month of sundays, his best performances have been at hooker or with O'Loughlin missing put him at 13. I know he's played it for you guys most of the season but he's never done anything special at HB for England, and it's the 'for England' bit that's important.
He has to play, he's the greatest Captain this country will see in a very long time but he has to be in the pack for me.

| Im begining to come round to your way of thinking regards sinfield at half back for england.trouble is now, with Widdop injured and brough cast aside it really only leaves chase.if i was mcnamara right now i would be considering sinfield at 9 and maybe moving tomkins into the halves and playing either ratchford or hardaker at full back.good thing is he has plenty of options for once but i still expect the spine of tomkins, sinfield, chase and roby come the WC.

Not a chance. He was at a supporters club meeting with us a couple of weeks ago and has zero interest. Plus he's deliberately booked a holiday so he misses the first England game.
