Sorry, I won't be pledging because I want the club to survive in the long term for the fans and you should have a word with the Wakey fans before thinking about it yourself. Once they got over the emotion they realised the way forward and that wasn't wasting their money now for failed management... lets hope the Bulls fans do the same!

Equally, if Bullbuilder decide to step up to the plate and change it's scope or the fans set up a new supporters trust with a view to safeguarding the club for the fans, then you can have my £50 straight away!

It never was the best derby. It was barely even a proper derby.

2 yokshire clubs who were successful became rivals. As soon as one of the clubs declined, so did the rivalry and the derby.

For those of us who have watched Leeds for a while, the current situation with Bradford throws up a couple of questions ....

- In 1996, when Leeds tried to gazump Wigan at the top of the tree in a rugby league cold war that ultimately damaged both clubs and the Pre-Rhino Leeds stood on the verge of extinction (incidentally, whilst Bradford were at the top of the tree) and fans of Leeds met in the supporters club to try to stave off a take over by Risdale & Co (and a move to Elland Road thrown in) .... Where were all the Bradford fans then, so desperate to retain their precious 'derby' ?

- Local Derby, eh ? Our 'traditional' local derby was Hunslet (or Bradford Lite they should perhaps be known as, given their plight since then) and there's a big queue of West Yorkshire teams like Castleford or Wakefield who 'hate' us just as much as Bradford. In other words, Bradford need the Leeds derby ... Leeds don't need the Bradford derby

- Isn't all this a bit 1962 / 63 all over again, when Bradford when belly up and was only saved by the work of Trevor Foster ?

- If Leeds were in a similar situation now and wanted a ton off me, I'd probably help, but I'd want something back in return such as the £100 taken as payment for shares in the club. Given that some of the information coming out of Odslum indicate that the Bulls are basically on their uppers, a significant cash injection of £1million should have some form of return on it such as an issue of share capital in the club. Blindly handing cash over to the existing management is tantamount to handing another bottle of scotch to an alcoholic

- If the RFL bale out the Bulls, this should also be at the cost of removing the current board and 'do an Italy', where the club is run effectively by RFL appointed technocrats or perhaps with a view, since they are 'The People's Team' (s) then why not hand it over to the 'people' then ?

- Maybe Bradford should do an Accrington Stanley and be replaced with a different franchise. Set down the marker once and for all that this sort of boom & bust management will be punished and why not let a different team from outside the heartlands be given a go, if they have a sufficient funding and business plan ? A team should not be drip fed cash just because of it traditional geographical location ....

I don't care what happens to bradford as a club but i feel for you as a supporter. However theres far more worthy causes for money theres 100's of charities which are worthier causes than some sports team from nothern england and If i had spare money that's where it would most likely go.

But the game will be poorer without bradford, the game needs a strong bradford, leeds need a strong bradford

It wasn't really a big game back then. The whole idea of this derby was driven by super league (bulls v rhinos) and success. Bradford were winning trophies, we started getting good again after 96 and we were basically told by marketing - they are another successful yorkshire team, you hate bulls, this is BIG DERBY GAME!

Ask some Blackpool fans if they want to make a pledge..........you may get some interesting responses.

Giving money to Bradford sounds to me like giving money to a 'homeless' person begging on the street, you may feel you're helping but your just funding the behaviour that got them there in the first place

I've worked just round the corner from Odsal since '98 which was more or less right in the middle of Bullmania. I ploughed a lonely furrow as a Loiner in a massive sea of bombastic, arrogant, no nothing bandwagoners who didn't have a clue as to our sports previous 100 year history. I've seen them gradually drop off one by one since 2005 when the good times dried up and I can tell you not one of them that I've spoken to today is in the slightest bit interested in giving their once beloved club a hundred nicker. So with that in true Dragons Den style.....

No I'm sorry I cant do it. I dont want to see the Bulls go under I will not be lining the pockets of Hood and Co who caused this mess.

As bad as it may seem, going under may be the best thing to happen as anyone with teenage daughters knows - the "I'll pay you back later" doesnt always happen.

That's harsh on the homeless. Not all are as culpable as the Bulls' management.

As much as I sympathise for the Bulls fans there is no way that a fan from any other club should give the current BoD and CEO any of their hard earned cash.
The club should have accounted for legal action and the potential loss.
Have they cut their cloth accordingly when revenue was reduced. They have taken on players from the Crusaders and announced new contracts increasing their overheads.
The directors must have known that they were going to have an issue with the bank when they sold off their only asset to the RFL. Where's the bank's security?
The BoD at the Bulls are holding a gun to the loyal Bulls fans heads saying give us your money or else and by the way you get nothing for it. No transparency, No voice on the board, but trust us things will be alright.
If the Bulls fans do this porperly and set up a Supporters Group and insist on a voice of the board and the resignation of Mr Hood and the CEO then and only then should fans from other clubs consider putting £100 in the Bulls BoD's begging bowl.
