Just watched the game on my V+ box, well done Trinity for wining. But the ref was terrible very one sided. I think the pen count was 9 2 in favour of Saints and this did not appear a fair account of the game, it seemed the ref wanted to give the Saints the game. Even Vido Ref Ganson was in on the act, on one Trinity Try he was asked to look at the grounding but then he started looking at other incidence, something he did not allow last week. Where does he live.

Did Ganson disallow the try?

No he did not, i wonder if somebody reminded him of the rules before he pressed the button

A bit of a pointless whinge against Ganson if you're criticising him for making the correct decision there.

IMO Ganson was in a no-win situation with St Helens being involved. Any debateable calls (as the put down by Grix was) leaves him and the game open to accusations of bias whichever button he presses.

A needless situation for the game to put it's under pressure officials in.

I thought Ganson got the decisions (when called upon) correct but I also wanted St Helens to lose the match so perhaps my natural bias impaired my judgement on the calls.

Worst referee in SL by a country mile, having said that at least he doesnt sit behind a keyboard debating the fact and actually gets out onto the field to prove he is useless so he deserves some respect.

I noticed that Ganson didnt go back and have a look at that one on the big screen. Halibut was poor - then again, he had Wellens, Wilkins and anyone else in his face disputing the decisions. Stains have this down to an art. Sinfield, and Sinfield alone speaks to the referee and thats how it should be.

I do not think, despite the fact that the Cunningham punch reduced the available pool of Wakey players by one that he will get a ban. Equally, Dimitreewho was not guilty of the elbow. Initial contact was with the hand and his arm travelled and there was no mallace involved.

Wakey by the way should have had two penalties early in the second half when Stains players were in front of the last man to play the ball thus being offside. Waldorf and Stadler didnt pick up on this but Sir Stevo of Dewsbury did allude that Mr Halibut want having his best gfame. Will he now be banned from refereeing Stains matches???

Its a long list for the 'Champions' Could hamper their attempts for a 5th consecutive league leaders and 4th consecutive CC

as of today add Paul Wellens with a four week lay off.

On last week's performance that should be a bit of a boost for them.

You could argue that 4 of them are not first teamers, but fringe players, equivalent to Gibson, Watkins, Worral, Allen, Jones-Bishop etc, but still a frightening injury list

11 players out. (Wellens, Long, Fasavalou, Wheeler, Eastmond, Cayless, Flannery, Frodsham, Roby, Lomax, Meli) very frightening injury list, could cost them the challenge cup and/or 1st place imo.

Problem is in a lot of cases they are the ones who would normally be stepping up to replace the injured players.

Thankfully Eastmond and Flannery are both due back this week so that will help a bit.
