The simple solution starts with making players from different clubs room together on international duty, there are too many cliques involved.

There are no simple solutions. I think that's the point of the review.

It'll take more than different sleeping arrangements to sort it out.

A full time coach might be a good starting point. Ooops.

Thats a start but its not the whole answer - you can push people together but you can't make them get on.

I think the idea of the squad training together throughout the season is a good start, as long as all the clubs involved make it easy for their players to be involved.

I seem to remember Leon Pryce suggesting a team lash up as a joke on one of those DVDs a few years back, funny yes, but it would well have a purpose at the start of a tour.

I think whoever the new coach is needs to take more of a hold on the team like Capello has with England, and enforce rules such as all eating together, and no phones at certain times etc, the team spirit is far and away the main thing as far as I'm concerned, we have as good of set of players as anyone else on paper.

And Warrington release their head coach.



The new coach is the same as the old coach as it's the same person only now he also has another full time job. Good times.

They don't need to go on the lash to do it but the idea is right, to work well as a team it does help if you have a decent relationship with those your working alongside - thats common sense really!

Origin Rugby would be a good stepping stone in getting players from other clubs mixed as well as providing good selection form.

If all else fails then discipline is key and TS is the right man, given enough time.

and as I've said before Paul Wellens will not be able to run faster if he rooms with Lee Smith and Danny McGuire will not be able to unlock an aussie defence by rooming with James Graham.

A good start would be to get clubs (and their supporters) weened off the reliance on overseas players and to rely more on producing and playing home grown players. That way, the national coach will have a deeper pool of players to select from.

i guess it depends on how freely wire let him/he wants to handle GB duties. If they say take as much time away pre during and post these elite sessions while letting Lowes take the reigns then it could work out.

I fear a full time coach would lower the standard of manager wanting it. Smith got bored doing nowt most of the season and I imagine others will. Be it part time the coach needs to be as commited and focused as a full time coach.

If he was bored then I doubt he was the right man for the job in the first place. I suspect he became bored watching England bomb under his control during the World Cup.

No easy answers but I'd start by appointing a full time successor now Smith is back in club coaching.

The RFL just look foolish in all this. Noble couldn't stay on because the RFL wanted a full time appointment and where are we now, back where we bleeding well started.

To be honest, I have grave doubts over what a full time England coach would actually do with their time.They get about 2 weeks a year with the players, so they can't do any coaching. I tend to view the problem the other way around. Until a lot of other stuff and a lot of priorities are sorted out, there is no point employing a full time coach, which smacks a bit of pretending to do something while leaving the failing systems in place.

so are they saying on this one then that there [uwas[/u bad feeling between leeds and saints players but it didn't affect performance or that there was [uno[/u bad feelings between the players ?
