I have been a little reticent to say it despite been close. On tonight's performance He IS the best FB I have seen at Leeds in my 36 years of watching. ... Better than Webb, better than Etingshausen. Sublime.
He has everything.

It would be a tight contest between him and webb at his best but I think hardaker will easily surpass him pretty soon

On attack I agree....it is his defensive (one on one tackles especially) qualities that make him the more complete for me.

He is the best defensive fullback I have ever seen from the UK since Hampson. And I am including Radlinski and Wellens in that.

Said before that ET is the player he resembles.

John Gallagher or Brett Mullins for me. At their peak they were incredible runners with the ball.

Brett Mullins time at Leefs was hardly memorable.

They were certainly impressed with him on sky

They were pretty good with Wellington and Canberra respectively. As you know, we didn't see the best of them in this country. Unlike Lee Penny or Richie Mathers.

He's cranked it up a notch this year. I could speculate about a response to the world cup debacle, but I wont. All I know is that right now, he's on a different level.

If he can continue to develop his range, and accuracy of his passing, then he will just about be the complete FB. He's already pretty close.

That run out of in goal was just incredible. No sign of panic just a clear determination to get us attacking the Wigan defence

He's shown clear and consistent imrovement in all areas since he started with us in 2011.

Compare him in 2011 - that slight raw player who played on the wing abit and in the centres to what he is now.

Webb was never great in defence but he was supurb in attack, albeit in a different way to hardaker

pet peeve with webb was his floated forward cut out passes to the wing.

Seemed to average at least one a game.

That may well have been after he had his back operation and was then unable to swivel the hips while passing.

Hardaker is really in the zone at present and has to be congratulated on the improvement in his all round game. Still not the finished article but that is a positive if he is able to improve further.

I always thought Zak would turn out to be a good player for us but I have to admit I didnt see him getting to this level he is playing at right now.

What I've liked, maybe strangely, is on the occasions he doesn't try something special with a kick return or with ball in hand. Seems to have developed nicely into knowing when to try something special and when to do the basic option.

The biggest improvement in the last 18 months or so is his game intelligence IMO.

Being in the right place at the right time, and making the right decisions. Whether that's choosing when to be expansive and when to be careful, or when to attack the ball rather than the ball carrier close to the line.

If he could develop Webb's bullet pass to the winger on the outside - some of which were thrown backwards - he'd be the best I've seen in a Leeds shirt, though Gary Spencer had his moments.

With the talent that Leeds have in the centres, there's not much need to be throwing big miss passes to the wingers...

Maybe not but it's still a good weapon to have in your armoury.

I agree Nantwich the kid has it all but in that backline its quality across the board and in Watkins I think we could have a Centre to surpass the likes of Senior and Godden.
For me I'd even accept losing 2 maybe 3 first team regulars to give Zak and Kallum top dollar to sign long term ala Hall Moon and Briscoe.
