| Hardaker - BJB apparently (Smith definitely) not the answer. Many think this is Hardaker's best position: let's see.
BJB - causes too many jitters at FB; has a good partnership with Watkins. Keep him on the wing.
Watkins - get some ball to him for gawd's sake.
Hall - his break at Langtree Park demonstrated his effectiveness and strength further in field.
Chisholm - deserves his chance after some promising u-20 performances. Has the pace on the flanks we lack
Webb - Hopefully can give us some extra 'spark' with extra pace over our incumbent SO.
McGuire - our best half back now proven in his absence.
Moore - deserves his chance
Burrow - McShane is after all possibly not the answer. Burrow def better here than in the halves.
Griffin - Give Peacock a break
Sinfield - Not pacy enough at SO; Ward deserves a place at LF and Sinfield def better here to get backs more involved than either Delaney or Clarkson.
Hauraki - Again better bet for getting backs more involved
Ward - Say no more
Hood - Probably our best bet for long term hooker; needs game time at least from bench.
Delaney - Probably our most willing consistent player for [idriving in the ball[/i but can't pass....bring him on as a PROP.
Ablett - Useful to have on the bench
Singleton - Give the lad a chance (if not, then use Kylie as the better impact sub that he is rather than starting prop he isn't)

Is Bailey's suspension over ??
To be honest I don't expect there will be anything like the team I suggest running out at odslum....and if I was actually responsible I doubt I would commit to all those changes. However, I would have the major shifts logged firmly in my head for applying asap to address some of the issues that now appear to be developing...and I would try these long before the business end of the season when it will be too late of course.
This relatively worthless part of the season is incontrovertibly the time to try any new combinations.

Can't see too many issues with the above team.
Personally if burrow is fit he would play 9 with hood on the bench with mcshane missing out.
If Webb isn't fit then I would like to see hardaker given a shot and looking forward to Chisholm getting a chance. Don't think there is any chance of sinfield moving back to loose forward anytime soon though

| Delaney - Probably our most willing consistent player for driving in the ball but can't pass....bring him on as a PROP.
Cannot see Delaney being a front rower.

That's where he will end up IMO.
Without a doubt he will be a better prop than a certain (near) namesake who commands the Starship Enterprise.

He actually had a stint at prop against Manly, albeit for only around 10 mins or so. He would only be a stop gap but I think he could make a better fist of it than some, whilst we have good options at prop though there's no need to play him there.
If Jay Pitts can play prop Delaney should be able to.

Don't really rate Pitts at prop either. I am sure most forwards could play prop to different degrees, doesn't mean they should. Don't think at the moment Delaney would make many yards up the middle

I beg to differ .....Bailey has his undeniable virtues but I bet Delaney could make more yards up the middle than he. As for Kirke........ Think Burrow makes more yards up the middle than he.

I agree with you nantwich. He has high workrate with tackles, carries a good go forward and is big enough. Most of the yards he makes are close to the ruck and up the middle.

I think if we are seriously considering Delaney at prop the club is going in the wrong direction in my opinion

| Four wing spots over Easter, Smith, Hall, BJB, and Chisholm would all get one each for mine
I'd give hood and mcshane a whole game each at hooker too.
Please make sure old timers like Peacock and Leuluai get no more than one game. Let the young lads in our squad show what they have
I'd also take Hardaker out of the centres, his passing and tackling left much to be desired yesterday. A game at fullback would be interesting.

What about Kirke ?
Might have to start a new thread for the [iSmithettes[/i.....led by Gotcha. Seems you're a member of the club too.
