No shock at all for me. I honestly think Idris shouldnt even be centre for us. Morris and Lafai are both better IMO and Idris cant defend out wide. Something that the QLD players would focus on. Not overly surprised at Hayne either. He has moments of brilliance but goes missing for big chunks of games where as with Duggan, you get what you see. He's always happy to get involved and is a strong runner of the ball. Plus Haynes a grub... He does stupid things and gets his team on the back foot.

I'd have had Blake Ferguson and Joel Reddy in there somewhere.

Not sure about Pearce either.

Snowden is overrated - he is just flavour of the month, how Tolman can't get a game defies belief. Luke Lewis missing out is also an error as is Farah who offers significantly more variety than Ennis.

What I cannot understand is this idea that you need a certain type of player to play origin? you hear it from the likes of Gould and Warren all the time - they make it out to be a contest between super humans - anyone who has watched the last 3 or 4 can see it is anything but that.

Isn't Lewis just returning from injury & therefore has no form to go on?
Good player though when match fit.

Lewis came back last week against the Broncos and had a very good game. Better than any other backrower in the game apart from Gallen and should have been picked IMO. He has been injured but then again so have others like Gasnier and King who didn't play this week due to injury. Dugan has been injured abit this season aswell. Dean Young can hardly train during the week because of an injury.
Lewis will be straight back in the side for game 2 unless NSW win.
Should be a good game, especially with QLD missing the likes of Inglis, Hodges, Folau, Shillington etc from last year which should make it closer than if they were all playing.
