I did chuckle at that point especially as their fans were seething!

They booed heavily when the second one went over. I think that is bizarre, as a point is better than nothing from a set. Just shows a) their knowledge of RL in general and b) how disillusioned they are with their club in general

they were fuming at both drop goals mate. to stupid to see the first was to make it three scores between the teams. the second was taking the mickey and boy they didn't like it

I don't think it was taking the mick, I thought it was exactly what the game situation (esp after all our injuries) required.

We were down to 14 players for most of that 2nd half and we were out on our feet. Great decision to go for the DG on both occasions. Made me chuckle to hear the booing.

Thought Leeds were fantastic tonight hull just couldnt match the enthusiasm of the rhinos players with 3 players lost i would have loved to have seen what score it would have been if they had them still on the pitch, webb was having a great game. It will be a long season for the dull and as a red and white i cant wait for the next derby match.

Good old Hull, building their team around a thirty-odd year old injury prone carthorse, who's best days are certainly behind him.



Isn't it about three and a bit seasons since they last beat us anywhere ? (Seven games according to the Beeb ...)

Supporters of all clubs have dreams and hopes of glory and success before the start of each season, therefore it must be extremely dispiriting to witness all those hopes trashed quite so early.

In Hull's case, they are not genuine contenders in SL... as is the case for at least 9 of the 14 SL clubs currently in existence.

My favourite chant last night:-

If you read some of the comments I wouldn't be surprised if the FC fans weren't realistic in that they were well beaten by a team that had no subs. They are a fairly disillusioned bunch. No club is immune from the one eyed kings!

In such a contrast to when I started watching Leeds. I think I had to wait 3-4 years before seeing us beat Hull. The one time we did in that period was away in '84/5 (?) when Sterling was playing for them - a Wednesday evening game at the Boulevard. I had fallen down some stairs (the were slippy, I wasn't drunk) that day and had my ankle in plaster.

Err.... You have more players over 30 than any other club in SL.

I guess this must have been your game. I remember it well, in the days when you stood at the back of the Boulevard and tried not to draw attention to yourself. We had to run (in record time) for the last train home and my mate had collected a couple of hundred progs from the shop (lovely lady although her name escapes me) and his bag weighed a proverbial ton. Don't to this day know how we made it but what a great feeling - with Tony Currie the Leeds hero on the night.

This was a fixture I remember extremely well. Why? Because me and a mate didn't make it to the game. We caught the train to Hull which stopped at York along the way. On reaching York station, the front two carriages of the train continued on to Hull. The rear two carriages of the train terminated at York. Nobody told us! There were no announcements. We were sat on one of the rear two carriages



Having made our way back to Leeds to drown our sorrows in several boozers, a phone call was later made to find out the result. Needless to say, we were both cheesed off having missed the Loiners finally beating Hull.
