There bloody well was. Penalty to saints when Wigan picked up mauries offload. Saints scored of that set!

Ganson is by far the best ref ATM and should get the game, you just always have a nagging doubt in the back of mind about him in Saints games though.

The offload hit a Wigan player. Hansen picked the ball up in an offside position from that contact with a team mate. Ganson clearly gives the signal for that offside. Correct decision and only controversial because the idiot Stevenson chose to ignore Ganson's signal and jibber on about ball stealing.

Will still bleat like a stuck pig about referee conspiracies if we lose next week though!

Ganson has three styles of reffing

1) In front of Sky cameras
2) Not in front of Sky cameras
3) Big finals

The latter option allows the game to flow and he tends to be less petty

As has already been mentioned, I think he’s the best ref in the game at the moment but there’s this nagging doubt that lives in the back of my mind that says “He’s a Saints fan”.
