| Three-Quarters: Metres, Tackles, (missed tackles), tackle effectiveness:
Webb - 141, 4 (2), 67%
Donald - 84, 1 (3), 25%
Watkins - 66, 15 (0), 100%
Senior - 138, 18 (1), 95%
Hall - 126, 8 (0), 100%
From that does it appear that Donald is giving defensive confidence to his centre while retaining non for himself?
Is it time to switch the better defensive winger to the weaker flank?

Looking at these stats Watkins slating on here seems a tad unjustified

You're not wrong there. Bailey isn't a Super League quality player. His contribution isn't worth having him on the bench. A proper forward like the big red machine would do that work in the first five minutes.

I suspect his 1 pass that went to touch is what our knee jerk fekkwitts have pounced upon.
Kylie's 1st stint a week after a rest was 11 mins. Kylie and Beily should both be "rested" until they realise they must up their work rate

| Jeez, doesn't look like Bailey and Leuluai moved in attack. 40 and 47 metres for props are quite frankly pathetic.

Anyone see Grahams stats for the weekend? Cant remember exactly but is was well over 200 meters with 38 hit ups ( ) and 20 odd tackles. Burgess was similar to Peacock too. 3 good props looks good for the Autumn if they stay fit.

I take it those stats came frome the Super League site? which we have already discovered are not very accurate.
I don't believe for one minute that JJB made 40 tackles on Friday night, and he certainly missed more than 2.

Just looked at the Sky Sports stats (if you can trust them) and added the number of minutes played [urlhttp://www.skysports.com/rugbyleague/match_facts/0,19935,11070_3086318,00.html[/url. Make of that what you will but it looks like Diskin was a passenger for the 20 mins he was on when Buderus was on. He was on from 60 mins and Kylie wasn't seen after 63 mins and Bailey after 31 mins. I know they were chasing the game and stats can show anything.
Kylie and Bailey should be able to manage more than 44 minutes between them

| It looks like from this evidence that Peacock is carrying our pack, and the only other prop who seems to offer comparative go forward over short stints is Burgess (rested against Quins).
We need other forwards to present a credible threat on the attack, otherwise we will become increasingly dependent on miracle plays involving the backs that have a high % chance of backfiring.
Lauitiiti's stats are pretty good, perhaps we will be forced to use him as an interchange prop if Bailey and Leuluai can't improve.
As good as Danny Buderus is, I'm not convinced Leeds have worked out a satisfactory way of using him in combination with Diskin. At the moment having two hookers means we have one less prop or back-rower, which means the others will have to do more work.

| Just shows how superior Buderus is to Diskin at the moment. Diskin just 25 meters with Buderus hitting 138. You would have to say Diskin was poor on Friday.

Diskin was on for the opening exchanges and you would therefore expect him to have few carries. Buderus was then brought on on 26 minutes to make plays and run at defences.

Missed Tackle Counts - SL Regular Rounds:
3 - Celtic (H) - 22
1 - Wakefield (H) - 26
2 - Hull KR (A) - 18
4 - Warrington (A) - 31
5 - Wigan (H) - 36
6 - St Helens (A) - 50
7 - Les Catalans (H) - 8
8 - Bradford (A) - 44
9 - Salford (H) - 24.5 (Averaged with Rd 10)
10 - Huddersfield (A) - 24.5 (Averaged with Rd 9)
11 - Harlequins (H) - 31
All as per the SL Website (they updated the Salford and Huddersfield stats as one, hence the need to average) and as DISA points out (without the ability to independently verify their OPTA output) all can be taken with varying degrees of salt to taste.
That said the quantifiable parts like tries, goals, missed goals, yellow cards etc, (but not 40/20's) are on the mark.

Agree on this point about the props, but on saying that surely the pack who have led us to back 2 back Grand Finals could step up to the task?

| I could be wrong here, but I think you're all being a bit hard on Bailey. Didn't he have to be helped from the field after a knock to the head in the first half and didn't return for the second?
Kylie's stats on the other hand are worrying. I couldn't believe it when he was subbed after only 11 minutes, although whether the injury to Bailey disrupted any plans the coach had for later in the game?
Peacock on the other hand is immense.

Good point but when Diskin came on for his 2nd stint he must make an impact and clearly he hasnt. It may be down to Blueys tatics in having
both Diskin and Buderus on at the same time with Diskin at 2nd Row. But clealy in the 2nd row diskin is going nowhere.

Going in to a game with only three regular props (Leuluai, Peacock and Bailey) and looking to a combination of Kirke and Lauitiiti to fill in the fourth prop role is a bit of a gamble. When two of the regular props combine to cover only a quarter of the time needed during the game then that gamble hasn't paid off, IMO.
Can Peacock really be expected to carry the Leeds pack for another season.

Not having seen the game I can only guess that Diskin was a bit of a spare part in his second stint. Although with Leeds desparately chasing the game the gameplan might have been different to the one that McClennan had originally envisaged.
