At the start of the season Leeds were on fire. Burrow & McGuire in the halves working off the back of a decent pack. It all went a bit pear shaped when Burrow got injured.

Peacock & Leuluai will do one more season. McGuire needs to have a really good pre-season as he looks really out of shape.

I reckon Burrow will move on for 2015. He had a deal to go to Cas for 2014 all squared off until McDermott gave him the half back spot ahead of Sinfield. Don't be surprised if he moves there to finish at his home town club.

The end of season fade out was all to do with the determination to win the CC. Once that was done, the older players had the monkey off their back & the focus on winning the GF, which was unlikely, was not as strong as perhaps it should have been.

Briscoe has been a bit disappointing. Very much a confidence player who doesn't seem to believe in or back himself.

The problems are not just in the squad.

I always think new signings need a years grace to settle into team patterns etc.Briscoe is no different.Signings that spring to mind (in previous years) who were slightly disappointing in their first season were McKenna,Scott Donald,Delaney,all these improved and did the club great credit.Jamie Mathiou never improved on his first season; I am slightly worried with Mitch Achurch who is about to enter his 3rd season,next year.Hope he is not another Jamie Mathiou.Although players like ET and Marcus Bai seemed to hit the ground running.

I personally think Achurch has improved from last year. I think the biggest issues are he seems to be a confidence sort of player needs to get on a bit of a roll. Early season playing second row thought he looked promising but a few injuries and a return to either bench warming or prop, which he doesn't do very well has not helped him

Delaney came good after everyone realised he wasn't really much cop as a centre.

Makes you wonder how he got a gig in the NRL at centre?
