By strange quirk of fate I was at the cas saints match, so was able to have a neutral look at rangi chase, he is a very good player. Possibly bordering on a great player, if some of his fellow players had reacted a bit quicker to some of his running lines cas would have won hands down.
I thought chase had a good game, some of the cas fans near me thought he did not have a good game, he tried his best throughout the game. Possibly trying to do too much.
I am not party to rugby league gossip so i am not aware of his off field antics, so I am neutral in my views if ever we had the inclination to sign him.
With regard to saints, I saw nothing in them that would frighten us, apart from lomax saints look a very ordinary team,
even Roby was subdued until he was injured and replaced.
