It's harder to disguise the fact that you've kept a salad in a cupboard for 6 weeks since the last match, so they tend not to bother with them.
I recommend not buying any food or drink in the ground. I bought a pint last time, but I wasn't spending much other money, and I only had one (had the car back at Leamington station) so I didn't lose much sleep over it. If you want multiple pints or any food, you might be in trouble unless you're Andrew Carnegie. Surely you can manage not to eat for 2 and a half hours unless you have a medical condition.
The food vans outside the ground near the station wanted about £8 for a burger as well.... A trip into Wembley itself is recommended. Or take a pack-up to eat on the way down on the train.
