Quote ="lionarmour87"well i cant dowload news articles, but it was posted on totalrl.com,but that is down now for maintainance, but basically Senior said "this pre season has been refreshing and its gee'd us all up ,the training under Bluey got a bit run of the mill ,we had TS then bluey came in and just tweeked it up, MAYBE THAT WAS HIS DOWNFALL".We were all dissapointed how it went last year ,but under brian we all feel great"It was an article from the Sun.

I always felt coaches had a finite lifespan with any set of players, typically 3-5 years. Perhaps McLennan's time was up. Then again, a healthy Mcguire and Peacock at the end of the season may well have seen another GF win - being able to beat the eventual champs, away, in a playoff game suggests the potential was there.
