My statistical cred on 1975 Test cricket is almost as low as my statistical cred on Leeds RLFC. However I did say it was the final day (which everyone will know was Tuesday as Test matches were always played Thursday, Friday, Saturday, rest day Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) and it most definately rained more than enough during the day to prevent the runs or seven wickets falling in all likelyhood.

I weren't given a ticket though it was part of my YCCC season ticket which covered the Headingley Tests with five diddy detachable stubs all on a single page.

Wasn't a full and extensive report into the condition of the pitch made several years ago, after concerns were raised as to the quality and poor state of the playing area? I am sure I remember the outcome of that being that the under soil heating was to be turned off and no longer used as it was was damaging the grass roots...and that vehicles should no longer be parked on the grass.
