Quote ="Chorley Rhino"You are losing your statistical cred there tvoc, The poster said it was a Saturday and in fact it was a Tuesday! Like you, I was lucky enough to have been given a ticket for the Tuesday and sent off with a raft of potted beef butties and some squash for a days entertainment. Alas, not to be. So I walked back to Stanningley but cant remember getting wet - but then again I was young and you dont notice the rain when you are young as every day in childhood was a sunny day!'"
Ignore anything remotely factural looking that MCF comes out with he's more of a raconteur.
My statistical cred on 1975 Test cricket is almost as low as my statistical cred on Leeds RLFC. However I did say it was the final day (which everyone will know was Tuesday as Test matches were always played Thursday, Friday, Saturday, rest day Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) and it most definately rained more than enough during the day to prevent the runs or seven wickets falling in all likelyhood.
I weren't given a ticket though it was part of my YCCC season ticket which covered the Headingley Tests with five diddy detachable stubs all on a single page.
