Having read an article yesterday regarding Yorkshire day, the question by the author was asked "are any other people anywhere in the country as proud as Yorkshire folk".

It was also asked why Yorkshire people have labelled it "gods own county" and does this stem from complete arrogance?

Arrogance my , just take a look at this great county (obviously ignoring East Yorkshire) and you’ll see there’s no other place on Gods Earth that he’d rather call home.

Where I live I’m 15 minutes for the country’s third largest city and 15 minutes from some of the finest countryside in the world. It’s not arrogance, it’s just the way it is.
