GB should tour every 4 years (AUS & NZ), players selected from 4 home nations, so brough, calderwood etc can pledge their allegiance to whoever safe in the fact they qualify to tour or play in home tests, trouble is it makes all the aussies with irish & scottish decendecy available which would embarass the RFL.

Agreed. Ireland for example had an excellent world cup and this was a perfect opportunity to be built upon. Trouble is it hasn't been. International game will never take off as long as this carries on.

Many sports have reasonably lax rules in respect of switching nations, not just RL or RU. Football has just changed the rules in respect of U21's who can now switch nations at any age if they have only played for the U21 side and not a full cap, and up to being 21 they can switch when they want!

That said, once over 21 and you get a full cap you then have to stick with that nation.

RU flaunt the rules more than league, Henry Paul, Ricky Flutey, vinakolo on resedency rules, Tonie carroll blew any rules out of the water, playing for both aussies & kiwis, now that was a joke.
