Er, a Catalans fan I know wasn't over impressed. Said he was too picky and very whistle happy. Expect plenty of penalties.

Do you recall when Kirkpatrick 1st officiated at this level & the stick he took? But ultimately he became arguably our best referee. They must all start somewhere, the only thing I'd like to see is consistency.

I have been impressed with Alibert reffing this seasons, but his interpretations as a video ref are nothing short of clueless.

The penalty try, if you watch the highlights. You hear Ganson ask Alibert to consider awarding the penalty try. I still can't see for the life of me why it was awarded.

Because if there wasn't a high tackle made, Halley would have scored under the sticks.

How? There were other players around. Not disputing a try would have been scored, but certainly not certain he would have got any nearer the posts.

When you consider the amount of times what seems certain try's been stopped by foul play, and no penalty try given.
